Tales.

In a little hidden place, far far away, where a moon glows over mountains...

       Img_6836

A girl watches her friend weave her web.   You see, Spider's are welcome here, cheered on, in fact.  As they weave strange little delicate webs, encasing non-living birds...

       Img_6865

A place where a girl pup really does think she is a bathing beauty.  From her private spa, she hollers for her bubbles, as I hurry along.  (Just don't let her know, she's not a pup anymore)

       Img_6830

In this place a girl has chosen to let her hair turn to weeds.  Last night, a demure low french twist, almost threw her into a whole other persona.  She was demanding a fancy dinner, and wanting to have fun?  What was wrong with her?  She got no fancy dinner in fact.  And, is back to peeking through windows, hoping noone visits unexpectedly, those long weeds growing from her head....

       Img_6924

Let me clarify, the only unexpected visitor, that is welcomed from afar... The parcel girl.  As, she brougt one lovely treat.  You see, I was needing some encouragement.  Not because I am sad, not because I am insane (okay okay, let me pretend). The reason, just because.  Okay, and I also kinda whined for it.

       Img_6871

It came from one wonderful girl.  Just wonderful!  She makes me laugh, and I adore her girls.  The darling Sarah of Here I am {A Stitch in time}.  As I opened the tube, I was overjoyed.  I mean, you tell someone, I must have the poster in your house. They say "I'll get you one...." And then you never get it right?  I never expected it would really come to me (it came quickly too).  I am delighted. But wait, just when I thought I couldn't get happier, the mailing tube starts singing... And these little ladies POP out.... Dancing and positioning themselves, right on my tree (they brought two little silver trees of their own).

       Img_6855

Desiree's bunny girl greeted them with open arms!!! And they are dancing around, ever so happily....

       Img_6848

Wait, that's not all. The two little creatures, who I adore, sent treasures as well!!! Their own art actually.

Thank you girls!!!! All three of you!  I am so touched!! xxo

I hope you all have a lovely little weekend!!!  I wanted to have a campfire weekend of tales with you, but I will plan it for later. As typepad will be down Friday night, and I didn't plan well ( I didn't plan at all, hehehe).  I am off to hang out in one of my  favorite little nooks...

       Img_6888

Find a thing or two to read and flip through & just enjoy life...

       Img_6896

Well, before I say see you soon.  I have some news.  I just don't know how to tell you this.  It has been a few days, and I have been avoiding the whole topic.  You see this strange man here? Yes, that one...

       Mr

Well that is a man, who I hope's smile makes up for the gift he brought you, for all your birthday love.  I said, how could you bring this all the way from Napa?  I can't give them this... And he said, "Oh, it's for your blog friends? I thought it was for you?" I said, "This is what you bring meeee?" He says, "Yes, but give this to your friends & tell them something better is coming for them." Oh, Greeeeeat!

So here you have it.  Your gift.  Don't ask.  I do not understand it either...

       Img_6933

Missed Chances, Art, & Phobias

So there I was.  Standing in the woods, alone. Woods, Desert, work with me here... It was dusk, a beautiful time to be outside in the summer.  The special dog pond (plastic blue swimming pool), green and dirty.  I decided to scrub it out.  Tipping it was the first challenge... I got all of the water out and washed it really really good.  I hung the water sprayer in a tree, to water the trees and plants while filling up the pool. How's that for great use of water?

Before I knew it, it started getting really really dark, and I couldn't see a thing.  See me there?  I told you, dark.

       Img_6601

I stumbled around, through the low hanging trees and giant girl-eating aloe plants. Up the porch and to the front door.  I grabbed a flash light and headed back to turn off the water. I thought I heard that scary movie breathy sound, ch-ch-ch-ch, hah-hah-hah-hah, over and over. You know like from Friday the 13th and Halloween.  Michael Meyers in the bushes???

Just then, I got this feeling, like, something magical might happen. Like, I was going to make a life altering decision.  Like, my path was about to change... I wasn't scared anymore.

I had to put the flashlight down, to be able to turn the water nozzle off.  As I approached the blue pool, I saw a black blob in the water.  I ran in and got my camera (see, I always think of you), threw it around my neck, and ran back out.  I aimed my camera, the green light flashing in the distance in order to focus.  It was so dark, so I pointed and clicked, without knowing what I was taking a picture of...

I heard a loud voice, like that of James Brown say, "Kiss me Baby, Kiss me."  I rattled my ears, thinking I was officially going nuts.  I heard it gain, "Kiss me Baby, Kiss me."  What?  I was scared now. I thought, for sure there is a weirdo in the bushes.  I grabbed my camera.  Fumbling in the dark, trying to see what it was I had photographed...

"Lo and Behold," there he was.  I had been waiting for him for 26 years.  Longing... Wondering when he'd come... My mother and grandmother, telling me all about him... The moment had finally arrived, there he was.  What to do????

He looked just like I thought he would... Shiny moist skin, plump and happy.... But, I couldn't do it.  I just couldn't.

I didn't kiss him...

       Img_6609

I just could not bring myself to do it. I realized then and there, that the dream, the idea, the fantasy of my Prince, was more special to me, than the Prince himself.

I was content with the dream. I will remember those words forever, "Kiss me, baby, Kiss me."

I took one last picture and walked away.... Good-bye Prince.  I am sure you will find someone else to kiss your royal tush, wash your capes, massage your toes, take your white horse to the vet... I am sorry, I am just not that girl.  Wipe your own crown.  And, off I skipped.....

       Img_6615

I then went inside, composed myself, and framed a few of my creations, the canvas print versions, so you could see how cute they look all framed up...The prints (unframed) can be found in my shop.

On another nut-cake note, I am having a hard time leaving the house today.  I feel paralyzed and slightly Agoraphobic. Does this ever happen to you?  I have so much to do, that I can't do any of it and the thought of going into town is making me sick...

Serendipity

Remember when I was looking for a new home for "Super Bake Girl?"  Okay, really, I had her for sale in the shop.  But, I did hope she would find a nice new home, as any mother hopes for a creature she sells off...

Well, the darling not only went and found a new home... She found a magical new world. Guess what the best part of it is?  She found me a new and wonderful friend.  Of course, this was only after I picked my jaw up off the ground after a peek into the world "Super Bake Girl" has gone to live in...

See this place here?  Does it remind you of something?  Perhaps Summer?  Perhaps, bliss?

       Consualastyle_2

I'll tell you where that paradise place is.  That is the shop that belongs to "Super Bake Girl's" new mom.  It is called Consuela Style.  Here is "Super Bake Girl" in her new home.  See her there on the wall?  She is delighted!!!

       Superbakegirlnewhome

In all seriousness though.  The funniest twist, or should I say, the fanciful-est twist, ocurred, when Consuela and myself actually ended up having the lovliest little phone chat.  She is talented and wonderful! And, we both have many similiar artistic thoughts and questions swirling around... Nothing like contemplating art.

This is a bit of what Consuela (family given nickname for the dreamer, wild-child, hippie chick, underneath her occasionally over-analytical exterior self) shared with me about herself and her artistic concept...

"I love everything to do with the beach, permanent vacations especially in Mexico, flip-flops-handbags - and jewelry, sitting on the back porch in the evenings with friends and family.  I believe that Summer is not only a season, it's a state-of-mind...it's a feeling that under the right conditions can be induced anywhere, any time of year...and considering that we do not know what tomorrow brings, I strive everyday to feel like it's warm, with a cool breeze and bright blue skies, on a drive with the top down...no worries!  Sounds corny, but it actually works!! ;) I had a corporate job for way longer than I care to admit or remember for that matter....but now am having a blast exploring my creative side.  My interests are all over the place right now.  I make caps, hats, bags, pillows for outside (made with oil cloth)  mixed media art...some jewelry...tshirts, etc...I sell my things retail at a monthly show, do custom t-shirt designs, and I have some things online..."

And, online is just where you can go to find her.  Here are some photos Consuela shared with me of her work & her shop on the go...

Is that fun and fantastic, or what??  Tell Consuela I said "howdy," if you get to visit her!

As for me.

I am a slow slow slow pitiful blogging friend.  I know, you are sick of hearing that from me and from every other Tash, Delia, & Harriet.  But, I promise, I am up to good stuff.  I am trying to feverishly get a brand new, and so lovely, jewelry case ready. As it is going into a brand new fab hair salon tomorrow morning.  It will be full of my jewel creations.  I am swamped with new tags and inventory lists.... And getting my own credit card machine set up there.  It has been nutcake-ville here.  But please, don't get mad or annoyed at me for being the slowest blogger ever in the history of blogging.... Just get your firm buns over here and help me. ;) XXO

Swirling amongst the madness...

Just when I scoffed at Mercury in retrogade...  I blinked, and my life was encased in a vessel full of water.  Drowning and being shaken all around.  I am officially living in a snow-globe.  Are any funny and strange things happening to you?  Let me kow...

I decided to create in order to avoid some of the madness.  All the creations turned up in the loony bin.  I mean,  in my SHOP.

       Cake_cards

All of the prints versions, of the cards above, are also available. They are on canvas and they look indescribable in person.  They are so lovely on this canvas....

This is a short post, as Mr. Lovee is away, and I am trying to have a Miss Potter weekend. Starting now.

Also, I have driving school all day tomorrow, which I am so excited about?  Ya sure. Off I go, showing my exquisite driving skills.  The truth is. I got a ticket, and in AZ, if you want it to be wiped off your record - and you have not had a ticket  for a long time- Then, you get to take 8 hours of driving school as punishment.  Oh and pay $200.00 USD

A funny new print int he shop.  Funny enough, it has a history.  Ask me if you would like to know???

(Vintage photos taken from google images. The Beatrix Potter picture was in google images, and is from the Beatrix Potter website.)

The kindness is never forgotten, no matter how slow the girl may be...

I may be slow, but I am one greatful girl.  You see, all of you who participated in the swap have indulged my treasure seeking, greedy girl side, way beyond imagineable.  You all seem to know me so well. Am I that obvious? hehehe.

       Wpicnic

( The little girl above is part of last nights small shop update.)

There are treasures still trickling in (from the swap).  And, others I have been so slow at sharing.  Please do not ever think I am not outrageously appreciative. You all can not imagine how your gifts have made me smile! Whiskers I tell ya!! Whiskers!!   They fill my spaces and are dear to my heart.

I will continue to share the swap treats.  Several today, actually.  First I must thank the amazing and wonderful Desiree of Daisy in lala land.  There is some kind of amazing magic that exudes from her.  I can feel it....

This is one of her creations.  She was so kind, gifts for me, the pup & Mr. Lovee. ( The pup has her ball, she wouldn't let me photograph it!!!)

       Img_6537

       Desiree

Thank you Miss Desiree!  You are so kind!!!! Your creatures are more than lovely!!!

The next treat is from my dear Gilfling Designs. Such a talented woman.  Her images are captivating. Am I lucky or what?????  Thank you Miss Gillian!!! She has a shop too!!

       Img_6547

The next treat is from, Amanda Button, of Pandora's Button Box.  She has been so kind to me, it is unbelievable.  She has filled my world with little fairy treasures and amazing music.  A few months ago I received the most charming little fairy nest! And now this.  I must say, there is nothing like a "naughty fairy." Thank you darling Amanda!!

       Img_6525

       Img_6528

And, the last gift I will share for today... Last, but so not least! Is from the wonderful, Pulp Sushi. She sent me so many little treasures!  Look at all of this!! What fun! Thank you Miss Marilyn!!! Oh, and she keeps the most fab blogs!!! You must visit her!!! Welcome and thank you!!!

       Img_6554

Now, this is for all of you who gave Mr. Lovee so much Birthday love.  Like he really needed his ego boosted, NOT! But, that's okay, he is a Lovee, and you all think so too??? Yikes!!! hehehehhe.  So, he says thank you!  He has a treat for you....

       Img_6502 Img_6501

(ps: He is an amazing thrifter.  Finds fab shirts and such.  He is not replaceable!! Don't you just love a man who thrifts? With or without you??? Bringing home little piano's and debonair attire? Well, I for one, do!! Although he has been known to bring home a brand new Armani jacket or two, in colors such as teal or violet or Canary yellow...)

As for your treat.....He has decided he has to go out and get a better one, as you all were so nice to him.... So, all I can say is...

To be Continued...

A quick note to say...

The party is over and it was just lovely.  The only pictures I have are from the beginning, the end, and the morning.  Why is it that we forget the camera in the middle?  I'll share a bunch of pictures, and then I am off.  As it is my Dad's birthday today and of course Father's day...

I love putting together romantic little soirees in my own way.  Also, I nipped the issue of the tablecloths flying away by tying rocks in little bundles of fabric, and then clipping them with clothespins, to the table cloth.

       Img_6375

My sister made the flags. I can't believe she did that! She is such a perfectionist, so each triangle was just perfect. Made with stunning fabric also!  Thank you Kristen!!! She couldn't attend, as she is already out of town visiting Dad, and I am off as soon as I finish this post ;)

(Don't look at the green hose)

       Img_6397

The fruit was unreal.  It was like no fruit anyone had ever tasted.  It was like fruit should taste, only "unreal."  It seemed like Wonka himself had tweaked it.  It was just so perfectly ripe and amazing....

       Img_6387

My friend Carolyn is just incredible. If any of you heard the NPR, 1 hour special about cancer (on Thursday June 14th, at 6pm).  It was about her son, Jason.  He has survived the unbelievable. He has a wife that is, I'd say, a real life "angel."  Carolyn is a dear dear friend.  She made those hors douvres.  She actually made the breads too!  In the shape of flowers!!! And she made the chocolate carmel cupcakes. Thank you Carolyn!!!!

       Img_6394

That is my friend Kent.  He has a real job, but I like to refer to him at the jazz guitarist extraordinaire.  He loved that bowl of lettuce.  I think it is his favorite color.   He is single ;) and he's a doll... Just saying, you know... if.... hehehee....

My friend Dean, the most amazing classical guitarist was there too.  He made the women swoon with his Robin Hoood songs... He sounds like he has 10 players playing with him.. And it is only him.  Sorry, no pic of Dean.  :(

As for other wonderful guitar players.   Dick and Jim (Benny's Band mates) were there.  So were Adam and Rick.  Not that you know any of these people.  But, that was quite the ensemble of players in the yard.

Thank you to Target for carrying  Isabelle de Borchgrave.  And, to Isabelle herself for all those lovely napkins, plates, runners & flower chip holders... Okay, I paid for it all. So, Target should thank me.  But, you catch my drift.... :)  There you have it, another snippet of my world.... See you Tuesday! xxo

Ladies & Gentleman, we have finally achieved, Canvas!

Oh my goodness, where to begin.  I am sitting in front of this monster, I mean machine... Wondering, how it got to be 11:43 at night on Wednesday?  Seeing as how I unpacked a 50+ lb. creature yesterday, and just got it all set up and working, um, now?  So, I have been at it for 48 hours.

I think I literally lose days, weeks, months, maybe even... Okay Okay, I know, melodrama, but, it seems like time slips out of my fingers whenever I do something computer related.  The aliens are sucking my life away through the ions. Or, something like that.  Anyhow, enough rambling.  I have NEWS!!!!

       Thecanvashaslanded

What do I mean by all of this nonsense?  Well, not only are the images above available in prints, in the shop.  They are available as canvas prints. As, a matter of fact. All of my prints, (except the predominantly black and white illustrations) will now be printed on archival matte poly/cotton canvas. Isn't that exciting?  I wish you could see them in person.  They are incredible. I can't believe how nice they turn out.  They'd better, with this fancy printer and such... I hope I made a good move.  I am still wide-eyed...

Here are just a few samples of what I printed to see how the printer worked...(click on any image to enlarge) Of course, the pigment on the canvas and the quality, can in no way be captured by my camera....But, I tried...

So, that is where I have disappeared to.  I feel like the worst blog-friend ever.  You won't believe what I did to myself, on top of all of this?  I am throwing Mr. Lovee a birthday party on Saturday.  The house is a disaster.  The studio is beyond a disaster.  My room, don't even ask.  Disaster.  What to do???? Will you all come help me??  I am a really good cook, I'll feed you real well?? I know, you are saying, "Maybe next time...." Okay okay, I won't pressure you too much....

My life is chaos these days.  Mr. Lovee and my dad have the same birthday.  So, I will throw the party on Saturday night. Then, I will get up early on Sunday and drive two hours away, to my parents' house, to celebrate Father's day and my dad's birthday.  YIKES!  Then I have driving school next week.  But Mr. Lovee is "goin' ta Napa" for a jam session in a week.  So, I will be free and wild.  I mean, free and saintly.  ;) (About driving school, yes, I got a ticket. My first one since I was 18, be nice, I am really sad about it, and the cop was mean, he made me cry)

Things that are making me happy!  The ever tricklin' in of treasures from the Trader Joe's Bag, swap:

From Grinnin Lil's, I am so in love with this little guy.  My heart broke and fell in love from the moment I opened the box! Oh, I love him.  He is sitting in the nook of my legs that are crossed, on the chair whilst typing... LOVE HIM! And, I just ate another choco...And, the Vegimite!  Yumm?  hehehe. THANK YOU!!!!

       Img_6347_2

Then, from Miss Shell, of Sacred Heart Arts!  Hi Shell, yes, it finally arrived! Phew. Treasures abound.  I love it all! And, look at that silhouette! Yippee! My walls are going to look extra special!!! xxo

       Img_6350

Oh, and I must tell you!  I have a baby!! No silly, not the kind that whines and cries and does other nasty things... The kind that is cute as a button, sits still, and fits in the palm of my hand..... Yep, all the way from the other side of the globe!  Thank you Miss Anastasia, of Anastasia - Drawing & Dreaming!  I love her! I just love her!

       Img_6357_2

       Img_6371

So, off we go to sleep. With a lovely cup of tea, courtesy of Miss A.  More treasures to come. And, they are good! All of you, who have participated in the swap, have totally floored me with your treats! Incredible!!

Art, Tragedy & Silly? (cut the drama, ha)

I am back from my little road trip.  Did a little painting to help my soul today.  In the form of these two little loves. In the shop now...

       Myfavoritetree_2

Sometimes... Acrylic, Ink Illustraion, and Fabric Collage, on 9.5" x 10" wood.

A Magic Fruit tree... Acrylic, Ink Illustraion, and fabric collage on canvas. 11" x 14" x .75" depth. (Hand painted and cut, collage stars)

As for the trip...

It was nice to get away with Mr. Lovee.  Sadly, the trip was strange.  It started like this...

       Img_5673_2 Img_5677

And, very quickly, turned to this... So much for driving into the sunset...

       Img_5693

Waiting for 3 hours.  In the car.  With a girl who can't sit still.  Just when we thought we were out of the woods...

       Img_5699

Now, we are not freeway/city folks.  We are back road, stay out of traffic folks.  You can imagine how delighted we were. The freeway was closed in both directions. It was havoc.  A huge light post was down across the entire freeway. YIKES! Anyhow, it took us 6 hours to get to our destination.  Hopefully noone was hurt...

We made up for all of our frustrations the next few days, by ruining all those hard work outs, with the following events...Use your imagination...

What a charming town Prescott, Arizona is.  We were in such a whirlwind, I didn't even get to make contact with Sadira.  It is too hard to do, with a man with you.  Next time, girls only!!

       Img_5759 Img_5724

      Img_5756 Img_5800

We had the loveliest dinner, it was delicious.  But, perhaps a little too delicious.  I ended up getting the worst belly ache, and it was alka-seltzer and bed for me.  But, the food at this place was incredible and the music was fantastic! (129 1/2 Jazz Grille, Prescott Az.)

      Img_5804

The Hassayampa hotel was lovely as ever.  However, there was a group of people staying there that were so obnxious and loud. Really, out of control. They were running around slamming doors, and had a bunch of us standing in the hall freaking out at 2am.  It went on until 5a.m.  The hotel said they would send up security, but it didn't happen.  We were told we would get some money back. We'll see.  It was a shame, as the hotel is such a favorite place.  And, it is not like we get to go there often...

       Img_5715

We found out we had to come home early to make an appointment that was requested last minute.  We got back, and the people blew us off.  Never returning calls, and having us wait all day without knowing.. Argh.

The drive home was rough.  It was very very long... Let me share with you through pictures, what happens when you put a girl in a car with a desert scenery for 5 hours.  WARNING, this girl turned very silly, and had to find any way to amuze herself.  The magazines had been read, the bubble gum chewed, and the books flipped through...

One word. Hairdo's. Once I flipped open the mirror, it was all over. Funny faces and hair tricks were in store...

       Img_6196

I had had enough of hearing Mr. Lovee's "learning" things.  Ruins and such were interesting, but "NOooo Mooore!"

       Img_6182

Ruins.

       Img_6178

Here is a montage of my rapid downhill spiral... It began with the bubble gum search...

Img_5867_3 Img_6101 Img_6105 Img_6108 Img_6099 Img_6114 Img_6129 Img_6136 Img_6140 Img_6149 Img_6155 Img_6217_2

So, there is the embarrassing truth.  Mr. Lovee said, can you be any more vain.  And I thought, I am not being vain, I am being silly.  And, sharing it with you, which I don't share me often...  Oh, and, Did you see how the hair got taller and taller?  Hopefully you got a chuckle out of my utter silliness...

I'll tell you what, if Miss Jungle Dream Pagoda  had been with me, she would have been all over my silly hairdo adventure. She is a wonderful girl! I adore her.  She so totally gets me, it's really not even funny.  This is what came my way from her.  I am speechelss, smitten and in love with my new treasures from her. Thank you so much Miss Lisa-Gabrielle!! xxo

Sometimes you fall in love & Sometimes you have to say goodbye...

       Shopupdatecake

Shop Update, But first, some thoughts....

It is a strange time in a strange little life.  Waves of change flutter by, and sometimes I get swept away kicking and screaming... Other times, I am prepared.  I catch the wave, and let it drag me out to sea... A whirlpool here, a little floating there... I might even find myself doing a bit of synchronised swimming...

What is all this aquatic talk you ask? One word, Art.  Or better yet, where Art takes me.  You see, Art came into my life and saved me three times.

The first time, he whispered to me as a confused little girl, "Psst, come here, you're not alone, let's play..."

The second time, years later, he appeared as a winged creature.  Taking me under his coat of lush feathers, forcing me to get out of bed during a "shattered heart" period.  Throwing my "angels in my rabbit convertible..." We drove, ending up at an angel art gallery... Painting and repairing my soul... Sharing with all kinds of people... A woman suffering with cancer, a French-man all alone in a strange country, and so many others... I waved good-bye, watching my little loves go to new homes...

The third time, Art stayed.  He gives me little gifts.  He plops them into a brain cell. Characters dancing around, begging to come alive.  To anyone else, a little creation might be insignificant, even silly... To me, they are all dear little friends.  With stories, and hearts.  Their tales, so precious.  Sometimes they don't come out as they were in my mind... But I can see them in there, through one eye, or even, through a curl of a lip...

There are so many facets to what I create & so many reasons to create.  For me, it is the only way I know how to exist.  Not only do I find myself in my own work, but in the work of others.  Admiring others work, and <evil grin> sometimes hoarding the pieces I get my hands on...

Sometimes I feel so silly, sharing my little creatures.  The ones that come to me in the middle of the night.  Then, I have a week like this one. Where my creatures & characters, touch other people. Visitors to the gallery take home new friends. Visitors to Etsy, find a new love...Of course, Arthur then says to me, "See, I told you so..."  And I have to respond "Oh, Art, you were so right..."

That said, I have been motivated to start putting some characters in the shop.  The gallery is full of friends that many of you have not met.  Plus, new friends here and there.  The vast differences in my style floors & confuses me, so I expect it might do the same to you. Consider this fair warning, ha.

You see, you all are making me feel so comfortable, that my fears of sharing are slowly vanishing.  It is one thing, for you to walk into my little gallery and peek.  Soaking it all in.  But, putting it on the screen for you to see, feels so, abrupt.  Like a kiss with a stranger, when not prepared...

Tonight I will be working on a shop update with many originals.  We are on a small road trip, and I have prepared myself, to share with you, from afar.  I will be back in town in 3 days...

"Strange Beautiful Lady II"  24" W x 30"H x 1.5 "D. Acrylic on Canvas, 2006 (Original)

The painting above is called, "Strange Beautiful Lady II."  I have an ongoing series about this peculiar woman.  I have done three similiar versions of the same characters.  Each version is slightly different, tree/no tree, etc.  The other two are in private collections (sold).  I wrote the tale about her... The main theme is that she sings a tune, "The children will play, they will dance and they'll sway, on a perfectly gloomy day, they say, they say."  The village on the other side of those hills can hear her singing this tune....

One more thing I wanted to share is how special I think it is to receive the "Thinking Blogger" award from a fellow blogger.  To have a fellow blogger who you respect and admire, consider you a thinking blog, is quite special.  Who better to judge us, than our fellow bloggers - and in this case fellow artist.  I find myself nominated by Lou, of Art&Ghosts, as a thinking blog... So wonderful, thank you! I adore this girl. She is so incredibly talented and a bundle of laughs! Lou, you are a treasure!

Here is how this works...

Thinkingblogger

1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think!

2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme or blog that you enjoy.
3. Optional: Proudly display the 'Thinking Blogger Award' with a link to the post that you wrote.

Of course, it is always hard to choose.  Everyone I visit makes me think, and laugh... and all that good stuff... But here are my five.

Paris Parfait, for French treasures, voyages, and a bundle of intelligence...Plus a really lovely wonderful girl!

Rodrigvitz Style, for a real life infused with color and major art talent, WOW, check out the art in her garden! And bags, and and and...

A Fairy in my Teacup, for all things fairy.  Living in a land where I think faeries really do roam. Kazzy, the sweetest gal that ever did roam amongst the faeries!

A Stitch in Time, from my first visit I was hooked.  Her lovely creativity and the inclusion of some little elf girls, always makes me long for the next post.  She is so real and funny! Love her!

Zazazu, always thought provoking posts. From photos with just a few words, to longer ideas...Always inspiring!

I promise, not so long posts, in the future. And, I have so many amazing swap gifts to share.  I am so behind in the sharing! You won't believe your eyes!!! xxxooo

A 3-day Wedding (not my own), A Strange Old Mining Town (Ghosts) & a Girl who is not used to...

Back from Bisbee & it's official.  They are hitched.  And, your friend here, is back, unsure of what to make of her experience.  Risa knows, I told her late last night, in the form of an "Ode to the 3-day wedding".  She got my "just back vibe" on the whole thing.   For now, let's start with L-O-V-E.

Love is great. The couple is incredible. He, a commercial Realtor and Tennis Pro.  She, a doctor from India.  Well, maybe she was born here?  Not sure, but a gorgeous fascinating girl, for sure.  People came in from all over the world for the big event.  It was beautiful.  The couple was very busy and had lots of events happening at different places every night - in order to accomodate such a huge crowd in such a small town... We did not get to see them often.  But they lavished us with very fancy dinners, cocktails & lunches.

As for me.

I have been known to be a Little Miss Goodie Two Shoes. I try to be nice an
