Hooray! The Swashbuckler Soiree!!

We were not told what time the pirates might turn up for the Swashbuckler Soiree.  We didn't know how many there would be, if one, or perhaps a few?  Until we heard the sound of waves crashing through the air... Was it truly them?? In their ship filled with loot?  Or was it all a dream?  Thank goodness we were slightly prepared during the pre-party post below...

       Bliss_7

No no, it seemed very real!  Not a dream at all...  It was the pirate ship, filled with wonderous treasures...

       Bliss_8

Rare rubies dangled above an even rarer ruby eyed skull....  While pure diamond neck jewels, from a beheaded queen, rested upon a sail...

       Bliss_10

It was magic!!  Seeing the ship soar through the waves in the sky, amongst the tree branches.  With the brilliant sun illuminating it...

       Bliss_6

I wondered if I might be able to get my hands on some of that wonderful loot...

       Bliss_12

They were a rowdy bunch, dancing all about, while passing their beverage around...

       Bliss_4

I was glad I had time to entertain them all...  Oh by the way, was that you I saw dancing on the plank???  Canoodling with the head pirate guy???  Oh Beware!!  Do not let Donna find you out!!

I have all the meals prepared for you and the pirates!!  I have brought in fish all the way from Sweden...

Oh ya!  Swedish Fish my friends!!!  Yumm Yumm!!

       Bliss_3

I also have for you, the ever tender, delicious, Golden Medalions.  Oh, no no no, don't worry, they are not Golden Medalions in the form of Ostrich, like you might think...  Oh No, I know you all are Candarians.  You know, kind of like vegetarians, only candy based :)

I guess you can say, these are more like Golden Nuggets...  (other wise known as, Rolos ;)

       Bliss_2

Now isn't that a delicious beginning?  Oh, and let's not forget the Octopus...  A rare red twisty variety...

       Bliss_36

And what is for dessert you ask??  Well, I say?  Have you no faith in me??  Of course, I made sure to have Strawberry and Cream swirled together, just for the occassion...

       Bliss_35

What a yummy spread!!

       Bliss_26

Did I hear you say, we were lacking something???  Why yes we are!!  What about some music!!!

       Bliss_17

Yo Ho, Yo Ho!  A pirates life for me!  Who wants to show their skills first???  Oh, he does.. Okay, take it away Johnny Canales...

       Bliss_21

       Bliss_22

Oh, I almost forgot...  I have two games!!  First, the "What made you become a pirate?" game...

       Bliss_32

Promptly followed by the, who can stack more treats, game...

       Bliss_34

This is all just wayyy too much fun...  But, all those sweets, are making me feel....

       Bliss_28

Why can't I be more like her???  She stuffs her mouth with treats all day, and never gets a headache...

       Bliss_30

What about you?  Did you get a belly ache from all of that??  Do you need some Dramamine for the ship ride to the next stop?

       Bliss_25

You are more than welcome to come and party with us any ole time!!!  Now, the ship is getting ready to set sail again!!  Hop on, you don't want to lose the chance to have real food at someone else's blogstop!!

       Bliss_5

By the way!!  Before you go, make sure to say hello, as I will be drawing a name for the snazziest bag of random pirate loot that ever lived!!!  Oh yes!!  Wait til you see it!!!

Thank you Miss Donna!!  For throwing such a marvelous Soiree!!!!

See you sooooooon!!! xoxo, V

~~~~Karen, The Lady of The Sea~~~~
Looks like a fun time!
I'm one of those candarians so you know I loved this. The games were so fun to. I just couldn't do the stacking thing. I kept eating them.
Vanessa, you always create magic, but today you have really created an outstanding event. Donna will be thrilled when she sees your amazing ship and the details of your celebration. Gorgeous party, but I am truly in love with your pirate ship. I too have sailed to neverland to celebrate this Swashbuckler event. Karen
Such a visual feast I've never seen. What a wildly wicked imagination. That's my kind of party!
What a fun pirate party! I love it.. that is the best pirate ship ever!
..just so you know.. I became a pirate because I was trying to make it as an artist and some soldier confiscated my brushes and spilled my paints.. so I had no choice but to take up piracy as a career and now I spent most of my days aboard ship scrubbing the deck and drawing JOlly Rogers in my spare time. :)
With all that candy it's got to be a pirates life for me. Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!
Wow! I am amazed at your candy, but that thar ship, how many of my dubloons will I have to ye for it? It is fetching and would surely carry me mateys to the treasure.
So many swashbuckler-ettes are sailing with us that I knew I could count on you for more sweets and music!!! I must indulge in all of your goodies. The and fun and color you have brought to the party are over the rainbow fabulous!!!!
D.
Oh what a fancy ship!! Colorful and jolly and all those goodies!!
mmmmm...!
Liisa
How delightful. I'd love to sail on that pirate ship!!
Wow! No one throws a party like Vanessa and the Swashbuckler Soiree is no exception! Thanks for all the lovelly treats! All my favorites! Have a wonderful weekend!
We had such a time at the soiree`, you and I, as we Candarians for reals, feasted. T'was so romantic seeing our dear Donna engaged in intercourse with her pirate (conversation! naughty girls!). Your ship will successfully carry the booty (treasure, there again, keep the minds on track) to safe harbor. My trusty little dagger kept thieves at bay, for though petite, and camouflaged in silk, like you, I am bionic!
Christine
OOOOohhhhhh how beautiful! Love love love your scrumptious table settings and pirate treats! Such fabulous loot!!! Have an absolutely fantastic weekend!
AAAARH!!! Methinks it's a fine, swarthy, soirree.
"What do you do with a drunken sailor
What do you do with a drunken sailor
What do you do with a drunken sailor
Earl-aye in the mornin'?"
(Feed her lots of octopus licorice whips)
Geez, Vanessa! I got a sugar rush from just looking at the pictures! You are the Queen of Color - and wherever did you find the grand old rusted pirate ship? Sail on!
Pirate loot? Helllllloooooooo!! :) Please count me in for the drawing.
That is one fancy ship!I love the picture of the skeleton playing the piano:) And now I'm craving Rolos..hehe. Happy Soiree!
Wow! What an amazing ship and the loot...well, to die for...not quite, but a bountiful treasure.
