Hooray! The Swashbuckler Soiree!!

We were not told what time the pirates might turn up for the Swashbuckler Soiree.  We didn't know how many there would be, if one, or perhaps a few?  Until we heard the sound of waves crashing through the air... Was it truly them?? In their ship filled with loot?  Or was it all a dream?  Thank goodness we were slightly prepared during the pre-party post below...

       Bliss_7

No no, it seemed very real!  Not a dream at all...  It was the pirate ship, filled with wonderous treasures...

       Bliss_8

Rare rubies dangled above an even rarer ruby eyed skull....  While pure diamond neck jewels, from a beheaded queen, rested upon a sail...

       Bliss_10

It was magic!!  Seeing the ship soar through the waves in the sky, amongst the tree branches.  With the brilliant sun illuminating it...

       Bliss_6

I wondered if I might be able to get my hands on some of that wonderful loot...

       Bliss_12

They were a rowdy bunch, dancing all about, while passing their beverage around...

       Bliss_4

I was glad I had time to entertain them all...  Oh by the way, was that you I saw dancing on the plank???  Canoodling with the head pirate guy???  Oh Beware!!  Do not let Donna find you out!!

I have all the meals prepared for you and the pirates!!  I have brought in fish all the way from Sweden...

Oh ya!  Swedish Fish my friends!!!  Yumm Yumm!!

       Bliss_3

I also have for you, the ever tender, delicious, Golden Medalions.  Oh, no no no, don't worry, they are not Golden Medalions in the form of Ostrich, like you might think...  Oh No, I know you all are Candarians.  You know, kind of like vegetarians, only candy based :)

I guess you can say, these are more like Golden Nuggets...  (other wise known as, Rolos ;)

       Bliss_2

Now isn't that a delicious beginning?  Oh, and let's not forget the Octopus...  A rare red twisty variety...

       Bliss_36

And what is for dessert you ask??  Well, I say?  Have you no faith in me??  Of course, I made sure to have Strawberry and Cream swirled together, just for the occassion...

       Bliss_35

What a yummy spread!!

       Bliss_26

Did I hear you say, we were lacking something???  Why yes we are!!  What about some music!!!

       Bliss_17

Yo Ho, Yo Ho!  A pirates life for me!  Who wants to show their skills first???  Oh, he does.. Okay, take it away Johnny Canales...

       Bliss_21

       Bliss_22

Oh, I almost forgot...  I have two games!!  First, the "What made you become a pirate?" game...

       Bliss_32

Promptly followed by the, who can stack more treats, game...

       Bliss_34

This is all just wayyy too much fun...  But, all those sweets, are making me feel....

       Bliss_28

Why can't I be more like her???  She stuffs her mouth with treats all day, and never gets a headache...

       Bliss_30

What about you?  Did you get a belly ache from all of that??  Do you need some Dramamine for the ship ride to the next stop?

       Bliss_25

You are more than welcome to come and party with us any ole time!!!  Now, the ship is getting ready to set sail again!!  Hop on, you don't want to lose the chance to have real food at someone else's blogstop!!

       Bliss_5

By the way!!  Before you go, make sure to say hello, as I will be drawing a name for the snazziest bag of random pirate loot that ever lived!!!  Oh yes!!  Wait til you see it!!!

Thank you Miss Donna!!  For throwing such a marvelous Soiree!!!!

See you sooooooon!!! xoxo, V

What a wonderful party! But I wonder how long it will take my friends and family to notice that I stowed away away on that fabulous pirate ship. Sailing the seven skies, docking in the treetops and having brightly coloured adventures. This is the life! (Aaar!)

Totally delightful post! I'd love to sail away on that fanciful pirate ship! Oh, and sign me up for that pirate's booty!

Fabulous Soiree! There is always a surprise waiting when I visit the blog.

I believe I need to paint an old brass candleholder bright green myself. I just love yours!

Ahoy VV! I've been painting pirates for more than a week, now & then! My pirate painting isn't on my art blog yet, haven't quite finished it - it's for my nephew, Preston the Pirate.

Vanessa,
What a fun and colorful party. I love the ship. I think I ate too much candy or maybe is was the brew. It was fun!
cheers,
-Mya

Your pirate ship is the best! I'm amazed other pirates haven't tried to steal it. And you throw the best parties, with delicious and colourful treats (canderian). Hilarious! Love you and your fabulous whimsical ideas. Alas, I missed the ball, but am glad I got to spend time with you and your pirates. Muchas gracias, preciosa! xoxox

Wow! That looks so fun! I so want to have a themed tea party now...

What a fun post!

Oh what a fantabulous voyage. The pictures are soaring with life :) Love how you've put it altogether!

I haven't stopped by in so long ... looks like I have been missing all the fun in the blogland and the real world. My hard drive crashed ... yep, lost it all. I know you were in that place recently. Stinks, doesn't it? Anyway, I had to redo pages and pages of a final paper for school ... so I have been out of the loop. Gosh, I have lost three weekends working on final papers. Pirates times are always good time ... wish I could have been there instead of my dreadful world. I am pretty sure that worse things happen than losing all your computer files, but it seems so awful when it happens. Those tears were super, super salty.

Arggg...

-Dirty Anne Rackham-

aaarrrggg - I do declare this a most fantastic post - I plan to visit your port again often!! Amazing photos .... so much fun.

Ooh, the pirate ship adored with enough sparkles to shame a princess (agree with the attention to detail). I want some golden nuggets, what a wonderful party you have here!

what an amazing amount of color....each piece was candy for the eyes, mouth, and soul!!

oooh! what a pretty party you throw!!

My mouth is watering for little red fishes and gold medalions...and all the colour and magic!! I'm so sorry I missed this earlier....but now I'm here...I think I'll jump aboard that ship and set sail!!

What a delight! :)

Yo Ho Ho from Candaria. No candarian can ever get woozy from too much candy. They absorb it and turn it into multi colored enrgies for painting and creating new treasures. count me in for Pirate loot !

I love all the colors and photos! Only now I have a craving for Swedish fish...

That just looks magical, I love the bounty.

Woooooow that was great !!

I am just floored by this post - it is definitely the most fanstasticly fabulous blog post ever! What imagination and photography! And the jewels! Wow! Please count me in on the drawing. I will cross my fingers, arms, legs and toes that I have a chance to win!

Ahoy matey! Gimme some booty!!!!! =P

Arrrrgggh me matey! I love the photo of the skeleton fingers on the keyboard. Totally awesome!

OMGosh, you always make my mouth water with your deliciously colourful photos, the pirate ship is just amazing, and all that candy, drooooool! Amazing photography miss, you rule the school!
Oh and hello, hello, hello! Count me in, pretty please with sugared cherries and sprinkles on top, fankOOoo <3
Tallulah

These pictures made my day! So lovely and talented you are!!

You are amazing. You made this so much fun! I really was a pirate (sort of...) we lived on a sailboat for eight years, so I never know if I'm a pirate, a mermaid or...my favorite...a selkie. I used to sleepwalk too, one night my dad found me on the beach and wading in the middle of the night...I was six the story is that I told my father that the mermaids wanted me to wash my hair in the ocean...that was my dream (vivid dreamer) and in the deepest of sleep I left our cottage and managed to climb down rocks to get to the beach...it was in Maine and the water was loaded with seals, so I always think that maybe...just maybe...it was the selkies calling me to the water.

Love this post!!!

Oh, I missed the party...I was stranded on an island!

delightful

wow, your parents' home is awesome and the pink sky is really beautiful
