Hi there! I spent all day, making you a little gift that I couldn't wait to share. I am delighted to do so, because I think you are extra lovely & all that wonderful mushy stuff with cherries on top!
So, these are like little elfin fairy creatures, that you can use for any occasion, but look very very cute hugging eggs...
Here they are on real eggs. I had not seen a white egg in ages. We usually only get brown or mint green color eggs locally. I think the eggs would look lovely natural or dyed a faint shade of blue or pink...
All you need is a tiny bit of tape on the back flaps -
If you are using those plastic openable eggs to hide a tiny gift in, fill your plastic egg up with goodies, wrap it in tissue paper, and put your Elfin on the oustide, like below...
Voila...
You can even dip the edges in a little glue and sprinkle them with glitter...
Easy as eating pie. Make sure to click blue link below for the crisp printable file.

You must click the blue link above, to get the actual printable version ;)
Print, cut, tape, enjoy! I printed mine on a nice cardstock, but I tested some on regular paper, and they worked just fine.
If you use these and would like me to post what you did with them, send over a couple photos, I would be delighted to share, just delighted!
I asked lovely Sarah Wallis if I could post a photo of what she did with hers... She even used one in a card. Fun idea Miss Sarah! You can really use these for any occasion, don't you think?
Miss lovely Gillian and her girls printed theirs in black and white, and used fairy crayons to color them, isn't that fun?? Endless options ;) Thank You Miss Gillian!!
Isn't this fun? A husband & wife egg decorating team ;) Miss Amanda and her hubby shared these below. Thanks you two!! Fancy with feathers, oolala!!
Soooo, let's see, in my world news, I saw December Boys yesterday while sculpting, it was delightful. The quail babies are not here yet, but I am waiting with bated breath. I searched for 6 hours the other day, for some baby quail pictures I had that are squeal worthy cute. But I can't locate them. So now I wait for this year's batch. I wonder how much longer ;) "Are we there yet?"
Oh and, my lovely camera died today. Edited - so I ordered a new one :) :) Eeeks!
Okay, I best be off to cut some of these out myself...
I hope you like them ;)
♥,V

**sighs BIG sighs** So sweet! I am going to steal your idea of wrapping the egg for Baby Doll...cutest thing I have seen in a
l o n g time. I found camouflage plastic eggs that I filled and sent to PFC Ryan! You without your camera is almost sacrilegious. **weeping** How will we see without your magical eyes? **blows kisses** Deborah

So sorry to hear your one-eyed friend has bitten the dust! I had a similar thing happen last summer, and wrote about it here http://shiborigirl.blogspot.com/2008/07/ive-lost-that-lovin-feeling.html if you are interested.
I've been going on walks with my own Baby and have taken a page from your book. Your posts have taught me to bring my camera and Pay Attention... We'll see how long that lasts. ;)
xoxo and have a Sparkly Day,
Kate

I just printed mine out and the colors are so sweet and dreamy! I too was wondering what type of a camera you use?!
I have an old 35mil. with the most humongous telephoto lens that I miss so desperately. Now I just use it for gazing at the moon :).
xoxox to you!

Hi!
Thanks for these, they are pretty! I have a little easter tree with little shiny eggs which would be much enhanced by your little faces. One is going in my Easter card to my Mum too.
Thanks!

Oh you are SO kind to share these with us! I hadn't considered doing eggs this year since my son is not into it as a teen. But why the heck not just for myself? Anyway, who doesn't love deviled eggs?
Posted by: Vanessa | April 08, 2009 at 11:05 AM
Vanessa-woo:
If the Easter bunny (her?him?)self were to...ahem...biologically provide the easter eggs, they could not be any more delightfully adorable or magical!
These are so cute, i wasnt even gonna do eggs this year (gasp!) but now I've got to at LEAST dress up some eggs with this perfectly cutecute present from the fanciful one & only. Thank You Thank You!!
May your basket be full to the brim of delicious yummies that magically detract calories rather than add them!
xoxoxox roo
PS I think your way is not only prettier than, I am SURE its way more sanitary than, if the Easter Bunny were to provide them in the aforementioned fashion. Nuff said.
Happy Day!

What a darling idea! I am still trying to figure out if I am going to dye eggs or just use the ones I have to make lemon curd...perhaps I will decide to do both!

What beautiful egg wraps. The girls will love these and use them along side their Hello Kitty egg decorations. I like the idea of wrapping the eggs in tissue paper. I might try that with little wooden eggs (after they're painted) and giving them as gifts to friends. Hope you get your camera back soon. I wouldn't know what to do without mine.
Posted by: kris | April 08, 2009 at 01:33 PM
These are just delightful! Thank You so much for the time you took crating them and thank you for sharing. I was pondering a couple of tablescapes this year and I have decided this will be my color scheme and the eggs will be perched in the center on a three-tiered stand with like things. Fun, Fun!
