Have you ever, I dare ask, ever, had a date with a Mad Hatter? A wonderful madman. The keeper to the one key that unlocks the gates to our "2nd Annual Mad Tea Party?!?"
He knocked my striped socks right off, whispered words, so perfect, why I could only share them with you. He said, don't be late! June 27th, Mad Tea Party, right here, like last year, only bettah!
Remember last year's Pre-Tea Party, and then the Mad Tea Party itself?
Whether you have a blog or not, you are invited to share in the party madness and visit here on the day of the party. If you would like to participate and be on the Mad Tea Partier list, you must have a blog that other partiers can visit (directions at the end of this post).
You can invite anyone you want! And guess what? You never have to leave the privacy of your own very merry unbirthday home!
You can start signing up now, leave a comment or e-mail me your link. I will get the list going right away, in my right sidebar.
The Mad Hatter said we would have a time like no other. All you have to do is, have a party on your own blog on Saturday June 27th, and we'll blog party hop along all weekend...
And with that, the Mad Hatter said he had to be on his way...
Oh Mad Hatter, I cried, I will miss you...
Just as he sped off, magic flew all about, it got tangled in my hair and I knew, this Mad Tea Party, was going to be wild fun!!
He said, don't forget, the theme song to the looming party is "Tonight we're gonna party like it's 1865..."
Maybe, you will get a date with the Mad Hatter too? You know, there is more than one. Perhaps, your beau is part of the Mad Hatter Secret Society, and you don't even know??? ;)
Goodbye Mister Hatter I waved, see you on June 27th!!! (Oh, those striped legs, swoooooon)
Then he blew me a kiss, shaped like a tea cup, and said, in song, it's time to share your secret, your little secret place, the silly little secret...

Below is the official party banner you can pop on your blog to let others know, and below that, is the button. Simply click on it, and copy or save it to your files, and then pop it on your bloglette.
Wondering what to do if you sign up?
If you are signing up to participate in the Mad Tea Party, all you have to do are three things.
1) Share the flyer or the button on your blog as soon as possible. Link to this blog post, and I will add your name to the "Mad Tea Partier" list in my right hand side bar.
2) On the day of the tea party, June 27th 2009, please make sure to post a Mad Tea Party post of your own, on your blog, linking to me. Other partiers will be visiting you on that date.
3) Blog hop with the other partiers on the day of the event and have a mad blast!! Again, the list of Mad Tea Paty Participants is in the right hand sidebar.
Note: Please make sure you post a tea party post on June 27th if you signed up. Last year several people did not do this, and lots of partiers e-mailed me to ask why they were finding some blogs without a Mad Tea Party post. I didn't have an answer.
~ Now, I must be off to prepare my frock, for the 2nd annual Mad Tea Party, which is always of the costume variety...

I am a kid's events coordinator at a local independent bookseller. I wanted desperately to have a Mad Tea Party as my story time theme on June 27th, but it just didn't quite work out. This makes me very happy that I get to give a local children's band their "big break" and enjoy a delightful tea party too!! Hooray for having your cake and eating it too.

Oh Vanessa how perfectly delicious!! Mr Mad Hatter is also a bit of a dish and I love those stripey legs!

Yay! I love tea parties, but especially unique, mad ones where everybody knocks their socks off participating. Maybe I'll make a polymer doll for the festivities...I'm just getting into making altered dolls and it is so much fun! Oh how much fun. Saw all the beautiful pictures from last year's party, and thought "Hmmmm...why am I always a day late...must get a new watch" And now,in an incredible twist of the universe, have arrived on time. It must be fate. Therefore participation is mandatory. The date, June 27 has been surrounded with magical rainbow colors and stars. The looking glass must be shined, and ready.
