We returned from our little trip to find oodles of your precious wishes lined up, glittering and glowing. Eager to be set free...
A whisper swirled around me in the wind saying "A Wish Party..." And just like that, a wish party was planned. I decorated one of my favorite tattered spaces on our funky lil' property, where a greenhouse once lived (way before we owned it).
It was great fun, and it felt ever so lovely to be giving your wishes the proper delivery and respect they deserve.
I found myself in the gallery, oops ~ I mean apothecary shoppe, searching for the perfect recipe for setting wishes free...
I gathered my ingredients one by one. Interestingly, most of my ingredients would lead you to believe I was baking a cake of sorts...
As I was working on collecting my wish spices, I heard quite a bit of commotion in the "A Fanciful Twist" theater. Seems a couple of characters decided to join in the "wish setting free" festivities.
Mind you, they were ever so embarrassingly silly, and performed totally impromptu with no set lines. Hence the giggling and madness. But, they meant well, and put this little performance on, just for you!
Silly gooses these two below...
As they went off to join the party, I followed them - but not before talking to the Wish Keeper Himself. He assured me that, all joking aside, he completely understood the importance of these wishes being set off to come true...
He promised he would bring his Wish Keeper army.
I believed wholeheartedly that the Wish Keeper cavalry would not let us down. So, I confidently skipped off to see what was happening at the wish party.
I peeked through a tiny window and spied a glowing lovely party for your wishes, in full swing...
The ship of dreams had just floated in, and was ready to assist in setting your wishes free, into the cotton candy night clouds...
As the sun went down, a magical tea service appeared. Would you care for some magic potion??
It was close to midnight, just the perfect time for wishes to be set free, or so I heard. I took my concoction of special, magical and ever so natural ingredients, including ground up wishes, and headed to a camp fire.
I had cut up some lovely apricot tree wood earlier, and prepared a fire, which was necessary for getting the wishes high up into the night sky...
Bundles of wishes big and small, bundles of wishes growing strong, find your way into the night sky, swirling amongst the stars, turning into fragments of reality, that will weave themselves together and become true as true...
The first bit of Magical Wish potion was tossed into the flame. Would it work? Mister Lovee and I looked on, not knowing what to expect.
And then...
The ground up wishes and the purely natural ingredients (that make wishes and cakes sweet and fluffy) came to life ~ swooosh, pooooof, voilaaaaaaa!!!
Mister Lovee and I stared at each other in disbelief. Then I jumped up and down with glee. I had a whole pot full of the concoction. I had to use it all to insure that all of your wishes would make it...
The flames grew bigger and bigger as I added wishes...
You could feel the power of wishes that were sure to come true...
Oooooo, aaaaaaaaaaaaaa, beautiful sparkly wishes, really really coming true!
You could see the wishes dancing amongst the stars in the night sky. All while the strength in number of wishes grew. So much so, that Mister and I were floored.
2nd to the last batch of wishes went in, and the intensity grew even more than expected...
Then all of a sudden, PHOOOOOOOOOOOOM, wishes exploded with a force that left us dumbfounded...
And then, just as quickly as the force blew your wishes way up into the night sky, the most unbelievable thing happened.
In a case of totally unaltered photos (I promise), a green glow of a face wearing a top hat appeared in the fire. We knew right then that it was the Wish Keeper Himself, keeping his word, ensuring your wishes arrived at their destination...
I almost fainted.
I think I even saw him wave?
As he faded away, the last of the wishes danced around and sang. We could hear them if we listened ever so carefully. They chanted in a sweet fairy sound.
Then they started dancing around in shapes of hearts...
And ribbons of sparkly flames...
And then, as if it couldn't get any better, they shot up in a glowing cloud...
Higher and higher...
Then, the swirls and flames disappeared, and we knew the wishes were on their way, through valleys and mountains made of clouds and galaxies. Up through places were cherubs dance and loved once live on forever. Somewhere up there, your wishes are being turned into reality...
And that is how a tiny party for your wishes, turned into a magical evening. We wish you could have been here to see it for yourself, but hopefully my photos captured the magic of it all.
Here's to believing!!
Thank you for sharing your wishes, and for allowing yourself to take voyages in the ship of dreams. Mister Lovee and I believe in having fun and living a light hearted life. Thank you for sharing bits of your lives with us.
We send Much love! Let's make it a magical 2010. Life is filled with ups and downs, but it is good to know there is always a little nook where we can share like minded ideas, and refuel our souls. I hope you find a little bit of that here at "A Fanciful Twist."
I get so much inspiration from what you share with me through comments and e-mails, I hope I am able to properly give back to you through these kooky little posts ;)
♥ ,V
ps: I don't condone playing with fire at all, please do not try anything you see in this post at home ♥

Thank you. I'm convinced my wish will now come true. It would mean the world to me, but if it doesn't, then I will accept that it was not meant to be, and find magic and joy in other areas of my life. Thank you for being you. I feel blessed to have 'met' you

It's as touching to go and read everyone's wishes as it is to make them. I was surely impressed and delighted by the video...Letting Wishes Go Unscripted! I am very amazed as well, by the way you chose to let them go this year and what happened as a result. Truly magical indeed. Reading this post made me have to go and reread what it was that I wished for...and I am truly satisfied...and a little concerned as I observe the fear that I feel when I think about wishing anything for the future...I'm not sure what that is exactly, if I'm worried that it won't come true or if I'm being too "greedy" Hmmmmm...

Vanessa:
Has it ever occured to you just how many people you've made smile? How inspirational you are?
Because of you, I started this day off with a happy tear, knowing all those wishes have been delivered. I must admit the puppet show had me rolling. Mr. Lovee as a semi-perverted sounding French Mad Hatter! Sure sounds like he wants a piece of your pie!
Have a great day and thanks for helping me to start my day off with a giggle!

your video made my day.
the love you two share is such an inspiration. the fact that there are men like mister lovee in the world, men who can play and be silly, gives me hope for my lonely heart!

OMG Vanessa!
I’m still laughing! What a superb performance! I bet you and Mister had so much fun while performing.
Let me tell you that I’m starting the year in a fantastic way. I made my first sale on Etsy yesterday and I’m also super excited about the upcoming doll show that I will be attending in Jan.
I think the WishMan did really take those wishes with him :)
Hugs…

Oh crapcrapcrapcrapcrap----I missed the Wish Party!!!!!! I guess I'll just send mine psychically.
The impromptu puppet show was genius! You and mister (ahem) I mean the Mad Hatter are fuuunnnnnnyyyyy! Miss Baby kept squealing and reaching for the monitor whenever Meestair Frawnch started talking. I can imagine you two having a slightly demented children's theater that would only be broadcast on obscure cable channels. Sort of like Pee Wee Herman meets Punch and Judy.
It's so fun to hear your voices. It makes you seem more real, instead of magical people who live in my computer. "Tori Amos....Hweee know her in Frawn-sah." GET OUT !!!!!!!!!!

My heart soared seeing the wishes go up and into air and being set free by the wish keeper. I know all our wishes are going to come true.
Thank you for doing this for all of us. You wonderfully, magical and creative woman.
I adored your skit. I was laughing along with you.
I like the idea of the Mad Hatter with a french accent.

Oooooh I think Mr. Lovee is more Topal from Fiddler then the Mad Hatter himself. Funny FuNNy fUnnY video and ever so lovely to hear your sweet enchanting voice and leave it to a man to complement a sweet maid on her pie and not her lovely gown. Tis the nose that really entreats a man to a woman's heart..tee hee!!!
Did you happen to roast any marshmallows as the dreams swirled up in to the sky?

Oh Cori, Fiddler on the Roof indeed! I love how Mr. Lovee makes you giggle like a school girl, that he is your Love, your Dove, your soulmate, your Joy. OOps, I just drooled a little. The colors in photo #1 and #2 do to my brain what string does to a cat. Gotta go play now! **blows 2010 kisses** Deb
