Hello friends! Isn't it wonderful? October has arrived! I had the perfect visitor, to help me harvest most of the pumpkins, and celebrate all that October brings...
Her name is Zarina Christina, and she is a Russian princess. Her mama (who is a dear friend of mine) calls her Tina. Isn't she a doll?
She made my Welcome October festivities so special, that I knew I had to share her with you. She is simply beyond words. So happy and sweet!
We had a more than splendid time harvesting most of the pumpkins. Tina was delighted, and toodled around with a smile from ear to ear...
She is such a joy. Isn't she the most perfect little gal to help welcome us into October? I hope you think so too ;)
Cutie, cutie, cutes!!!
Even the pumpkins look like they are smiling at her, don't you think?
What a wonderful day. Pumpkins and fur. And soooo much love.
Tina has a crush on Matty. Her mama and I fear that she and Matty will run away in a pumpkin carriage, pulled by Tina's two siblings (who happen to be turtles).
Although, I am not sure I can trust Matty alone with her. She has a stuffed animal quality, and is very dainty. I am not sure my furry boy can handle a dainty gal, you know what I mean? He is jumping, and rough play, and dirt, and everything oh so boy.
Tina played soooooo much while she visited. It was constant play. After we collected our garden loot, her mama and I had a feast of a picnic, and laughed and chatted for hours and hours. Our dessert was kabocha pumpkin drowning in a delicate autumn spice, mixed with melted butter and brown sugar.
It was decadent.
After a little while, we realized Tina was being ever so silent.
The pumpkin picker girl was dreaming....
Hiding under the table in deep slumber.
So, Tina's mama and I decided we needed a nap too. Harvesting pumpkins in 110' weather, and eating all that yummy food, was just too much.
But, just was we started to relax and put our feet up.......
Someone awoke with the vigor and energy, of well, a young pup ;)
And so, play-time continued...
Welcome October!
Welcome enchantment and costumes, breezes, and hay rides. Welcome the swirling of holidays, merriment and more.
I don't know about you, but it is just about this time of year, where I feel I need to hang on for dear life. Why you ask? Well, it seems that time goes by faster than ever, at this time of the year.
So, let's hang on, and enjoy Autumn to the fullest!
Hooooray!
October, we love you!
♥,V
ps: A treat, made by beloved Miss Deborah over at Midlife Poet, to entice the spirit, bwahahaha! I ♥ him. I even let him steal some of Mister Lovee's fresh candy corn ;)

Oh, Miss Tina is a beautiful princess, indeed! I did notice that Mr. Matty was conspicuously absent from the pics! Then I read your fears about allowing him around the stuffed animal-esque petite little fur girl. Should Monsieur Matisse have given into his dark side and attempted to munch upon his little guest--ah, the scandal it would have brought upon his circus career, I fear . . . . : D

What fun Pics. They all made me smile. Tina is so very sweet. Would love to see a picture of Matty and Tina sitting near each other. If there was a chance. Even though I am a summer girl, October is my favorite.

OOOhhhhhh Little Miss Tina is so adorable!!!!! She looks like my sweet little Coco Beal-o-leen, also known as Princess Cupcake. They are the sweetest most loving little creatures ever and never in a bad mood. She is too darling!!! IS she small enough to fit in an over-sized purse. My little Coco girl is what I call a Moosetese since she weighs in at 9 lbs. What a hoot!!!!
Happy 1st day of October, Beloved Fanciful Friendling ;-).

Tina is a doll! She really looks like a cute little stuffed puppy that my girls would cuddle with on their way to dreamland ;) So glad you had fun with your friend and Tina and Matty hit it off. We love Autumn too and I'm really feeling it today. It's chilly, breezy and I'm gearing up to decorate for Halloweeny!

Maltese may look cute, but don't be fooled! My dog, Sugar thinks she's a ferocious, big guard dog. Very territorial.
She is pretty sweet most of the time though. ;p

That first picture is so impossibly cute, its almost like my heart exploded with the adorableness of it all-and then it just got cuter! i had to eat a pickle, to balance out the sweetness :)
You know, i am thinking maybe i need some girly girl mojo up in here...constantly surrounded by boys and dirt--even Buddy the WonderDawg is, well, a dude dog....
A cute little number like that russian princess just might bring the testosterone levels down around here....
Except....
I'm afraid Buddy the WonderDawg would mistake her for a pillow :p
Happy October!!!!!

The dragon of fall is white here,
Furry and rambling something quite dear.
Amongst the pumpkins and grassy crowns,
Leaping with lizards gourdingal'ing towns.
Soon they will be glowing with light,
Carved into valley's whispering of the night.
Kings and Queens all bowing down,
Happy October harvesting from the ground.
And as I walk and dance across the moore,
I remember the tea party door.
And then real fast 5 pumpkins sing,
Oh for goodness sake we are nearing-Happy Halloween.
Screech owl outside my door,
Calling Esmeralda to this shore.
Be it a party on the hill next to the trees shade,
Tomatoes, oregano, basil, promenade.
Listening now to fog horns roar,
Happy Autumn from this shore.

Happy Day to you, Mademoiselle Vanessa!
It has been some days since I was last able to visit you but I wish I would have done so sooner! Just reading about the gorgeous swirl of beautiful things in your life makes me feel so much more cheerful! The very sweet puppy dog in this post just makes my heart smile1 I am so sorry that I was away from the Universe of Blog (light years away) when you fell. I am so sorry and I hope your ankle is feeling so much better now. I have found arnica to be my best friend on more than one occasion.
Life is easing up on us a bit now and I am finding more and more moments to work on my post for your Halloween party. I am so excited and will be so happy to visit your party!
Biggest hugs to you,

The happiest of Octobers to you, dear Miss Vanessa! What a total CUTIE Tina is!!!! I want to scoop her up and cuddle her and dance around the room with her. Do you think she'd let me? :) She sure did enjoy being around all those glorious pumpkins! As would I! After a monsoon-like few days, the weather here is finally crisp and sunny. Hurray for October! Take care and have a wonderful fun-filled weekend! xoxo Theresa

Seeing those photos makes me want to grow a pumpkin patch! Imagine the fun we'd have this time next year collecting our harvest and.... all that yummy soup and pie!
I went on an October adventure myself yesterday through an enchanted garden. No pumpkins but fairy glens, troll bridges and secret doors!

Yes! October is here! Isn't it wonderful!?!?! We welcomed in this dear, favorite month with mystery viewing and a Sunday afternoon outing with friends that included good food, hiking a wooded trail, and feeding apples and carrots to bison and elk at a local nature preserve. With the crisp autumn weather today it was simply perfect.

Oh, she's cuuuuuuute!!!!
I bet Matty's in love.
I TOTALLY agree about the 'stuffed animal quality', though.
Aptly put. Chaperonage required.
Thanks for the Happy October Puppy Love.

I am glad you love him. Is time speeding up on your mountain? It certainly is here. I can SEE it whizzing by. **blows kisses** Deb

Oh----
this dog TOTALLY needs to
hook up with Dougie and make
some tiny strange new breed
of adorableness.
Or it could go horribly wrong, though.
