All Hallows' Eve, it's almost here! Can you believe it, the most enchanted day of the year, is well on its way?! So, let's hold our breath, and jump in. For it's but once a year that we get to celebrate this day of such frolic and play, and if I do say, it slips through our fingers faster than one can take off their beard. That is, if you are dolled up as the bearded lady (or bearded fella) for this costumed affair.
(The bearded lady happens to be one of my faves, by the way)
Mister Fur and I step in, quietly, so as to not spook any baby ghostlings.
The pumpkin babes we grew are shivering, as frightened as can be...
For tomorrow, one will be chosen for the spookiest task of all...
They whisper, as the guardian makes sure none sprout feet and run away...
For it is but once a year, that King Scarecrow chooses a head, that he will wear for the next 365 days.
Who will it be, who will it be?
When October 31st finds it's way, and skies turn amber swirled with grey, we shall know...
For now, all the children, witches, frogs and owls have arrived for the yearly festivities. Warlock Lovee has gone out for some pizza pies, and has agreed that tomorrow, we might share a bit of real magic. As in, show you how to make a little magic that we have taught ourselves. Are you up for it?
We have stacks of bone chilling movies, (which the warlock loathes, and I love as long as they are not too gory). I love haunted houses and such. Amityville is on the list. We saw The Changeling last weekend, and oh we also have Night of the Demons eeeee! (ps: I didn't like it the demon flick, 10 minutes after putting it on, I torched it ;), but we did watch 1981's Ghost Story) If it is too scary, we have Charlie Brown as happy back-up :)
The kettle corn is ready, and the candy apples too.
To welcome midnight, with crunchiness and goo.
I love tomorrow.
But I especially love that we can conjure up this sort of magic whenever we want. Although, Halloween does lend itself to extra mischief and mayhem, don't you think?
How did you get here so soon???
I must slurp up each morsel of magic that looms.
See you beyond soon ;)
♥ ,V
ps: Do you have a costume? What is it??? I think I want to play "Sick" from real world chores and be Shel Silverstein's, Peggy Ann McKay :)

What a cute post! I love your magical creatures!

Love your owl and witchy lady pictures, Vanessa! I like a laugh with my zombies, so I'm thinking we might watch Shaun of the Dead today. : ) Since it's my birthday, I have a feeling I may get my way. It's also my wish to try a gluten free pizza that a local proper pizza parlor has started to offer. The frozen variety leave alot to be desired and, since having to go gluten free 3 years ago, one of the foods I miss very badly is pizza I've requested that as my birthday dinner. Fingers crossed it tastes good!

Happy Halloween to you, Miss Vanessa! Hope you do not get too frightened by the spooky movies. I'm not big on gore, either. I did watch Charlie Brown - and it made me smile. I also watched "The Witches" (starring Angelica Huston) with the hubby last night. I hope you have a most magical evening! xoxo Theresa

Great post. Happy Magical Halloween to you and Mr. Lovey and the fur baby. Happiness to all your readers too.
I had my little one here last night, she was exhausted from a sleep over the night before and out of sorts cause I don't know what happened to my copy of The Nightmare Before Christmas. (I must find that before we have another movie night). So we watched Hocus Pocus:) I'm trying to train her right.
I'm watching Vincent Price Movies on TCM and waiting for The Walking Dead.
I went for comfy this year-pjs:)

October fairly flew by. I'm not sure how it got away so quickly, but it did and although I really enjoyed this October I am sorry to see it go so soon. I hope your Halloween was wonderful and I wish you the very best for November.

I can't take the gorey movies either. Unfortunately I love the scary ones and it's hard to find genuine films that aren't slashers. "Ghost Story" by Peter Straub is great, as is "Something Wicked This Way Comes"...and of course "Fright Night" but that's campy and funny too. lol
Here are my Halloween costumes. I only did *FOUR* this year, lol. Of course one I started early in September, so maybe that's cheating? Cosplay action? Haha. I miss Halloween already.

Misha, OH my goodness, that is what we watched!!! Ghost Story!!
And Hocus Pocus. I loathed Night of the Demons, so dumb, I took it out of
the player after 10 minutes. I LOVED The Changeling...I think I adore 70s
and 80s scary flicks. Nothing like haunted houses ;)
