Hi, Hello, Hiya! From the house of sleepless grown-ups and happy pups, we want to wish you...
A splendid...
Beyond delightful...
* 2011 *
Full of goodness a plenty!
Clink Clinking to you, with shirley temples and extra cherries :)
By the by,
I bet you thought I forgot about our ritual, yours and mine?
About wishes being collected on New Year's...
And then set sail in a ship of dreams?
Or by some other invented, and hopefully clever, method...
In order to ensure a positive wish to reality factor ;)
So, let's do it.
Dream for yourself
or
dream for others,
But by golly, feel free to dream up a wish (or several), won'tcha?
Because as Cinderella once said ~
A dream is a wish your heart makes...
&
If you keep on believing,
the dream that you wish,
will come true...
Let's make a list of our wishes,
and I'll set them free in a couple of days.
Deal?
Just like we have in years past.
Happy New Year!!
ps: Thank yooooou beyond oodles for the puppy love! Miles is such a joy.
What a year it's been friends. It was such a good spring, and then there was such deep loss, and us grasping at mending our broken hearts when we lost Baby. Slowly we began embracing the act of laughing and crying simultaneously. Our hearts have a little crack, all for the love we have for our blonde girl.
But then, there was huge awesome bonding with Matty, and he gave us the gift of love and light, just as his sister had.
And now, a 2nd furry child to squeeze, and adore.
Wowsa, what a year.
Life is the most curious of all adventures :)
We are sleepless and still madly in love with our new boy. Last night Mister Lovee could tell that two hour increments of sleep, for a few days, were doing me in (plus, I put on a whole New Year's eve dinner and dessert last night, making me officially zombified, in a goodish way).
So, Mister took on puppy duty for a whole night last night, and let me sleep. Can you imagine what I awoke to? All the boys in the living room, on the couch, puppy on Lovee's head, and a couple cleaned-up accidents here and there. That's the kind of fun dad's are for ;)
C'est la Vie, I say.
Oh and, puppy is a little tough guy, who loves to instigate wrestling matches with his big brother.
So cute!
Now, on with ~
Wishing away......

I'm going to do this! I love the idea and one year, didn't you put all of our wishes into a balloon & let it float away into the sky? *Scratches head* - seems like I remember that?
Anyway, that's my plan. I have several wishes I want to put out there into the Universe, and also a couple of worries that I want to release.

With a first and new granddaughter this year, Vanessa, my wishes are mainly for her ~ I wish that she knows how loved she is. I am also wishing that we are able to downsize this year!

Your firework pics are awesome-there were 3 of us trying to take pics last night but they don't look like that :p
You made dinner too with a new baby in the house??? you're like wonder woman wrapped in swaddling cape-ing! :-)
We do finger foodies on NYE-weenies in blankies, spinach artichoke dip, con queso, fruit and cheese platters, wee smammies, you know like that- although there *was* key lime cake for desserts YUM
YAY for wishes! and hopes! and dreams! and new years and old years and puppies!!!
(hey what does the sail on that pretty silver ship say? I cant quite make it out...)
XOXOXVIVIVIXIXOXOXOX Roooooster....
(to be continued when i think of wishes)

Happy New Year, Vanessa! I hope it is a magical one and that all your wishes come true. Miles is such a glorious gift. He breaks my heart when I see him, as he is such a CUTE little furry baby!!! Wishes for the year? I'd love to grow more confident in my art and my creations. Sometimes, I waiver and my goal is to grow this year - creatively and personally. Happy Happy! Happy Ms. Vanessa, Mr. Lovee, Matty and Miles!!
My wish is for time to fill journals with honesty, explorations, and learning of all kinds.
And I wish all will learn to find the common among each other, and forget about the differences...

My wish is that everyone's wishes will come true. I'm just happy to be alive, and able to share dream wishes with others, and create joy when I can and be thankful for those who create inspiration wherever they go. And to be able to use my imagination to create dream vistas of peace and harmony with those who want to do the same. To spread magic around and live in the joy of the moment creating a magical environment and my wish is that I can use my creative abilities to create magical art that will arouse the senses to feel what is good in others all around the world.
Cheers to everyone!

"Our hearts have a little crack,"
There is a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in. (Love Leonard!) Yuppers. It's been a year. Wishes, wishes, wishes. What a lovely thing you do, Missy Vanessa. My wish is for my baby girl to find her one true love. Or I guess for him to find her. She says he's on his way, he just hasn't found her yet! And for my dear husband to find a job working DAYS!! Life is good, though. I have a feeling this year is going to be truly wonderful! I know yours will be too, dear Wishtress! - Cheers and hugs. Kathy

"Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things." --Robert Brault
That is one of my wishes for this year. It rings very true to me! Life is in the moments.
Much less poetic and dreamy sounding *sigh* is my goal to whittle away at clutter and bless others with what I no longer use. Hubby has spent quite a chunk of time in the garage during his vacation, trying to tame it! Progress was made. It is slow going, but I must appreciate progress and not dwell on what is yet to be done! I tackled some of the inside, and I will continue to do so. As I do, though, I mustn't forget my opening quote. I will take time to read, talk to, and play with my son because the "little thing" of stopping to read a book is really one of the "big things."
Wish I could have seen the boys in your family all together in the living room after Mr. Lovee's unselfish night of fur baby father duty!
Love to you, Vanessa, in the new year.

I wish to continue getting to know all these great bloggie friends:)
I wish to pay off all my debts before the end of the year (I'm well on my way to that)
I wish my daughter will get into the dental hygenist program she's trying to get into.
I wish my granddaughter a year of good health and happiness and enjoyment of childhood.

Um my main wish is for my furries because they are basically in the elderly category nowadays (for cats anyway), and though they have some minor issues (like a bit of arthritis) I wish for them to stay healthy and live lots longer. I love them so!
I also want to wish for things to work out for my parents, and for more time to create for me!
Yay, happy new year!

Love that Cinderella video - did you notice she had to get herself into her glittering gown & actually GO to the Ball in order to meet her Prince Charming? Those little birds & mice made sure it happened! Love fairy tales because even though the endings aren't always happy, you are on the journey & everything happens to strengthen you for the next experience in life......

Vanessa...
I am so over the moon happy that Miles found you! He is one blessed fur baby...he and Matty both. If I were re-incarnated as a dog, I'd want to live with you and Mr. Lovee!
Ohh...I have so many wishes this year. I have been so hopeless over the last several years, I stopped making wishes. This year, I'm trying to find some hope. I found that, once you lose hope, there's nothing to wish for.
Above all...I wish for health and happiness for my family and friends.
My short list of wishes...
We don't lose our house.
We have food on the table.
Let go of my guilt over my mom's death.
Our financial struggles will finally end.
Bring my gardens back to life.
To be hopeful again.
Thank you Vanessa

Okay, first - I am so happy for you!! King Miles of the Santa Catalinas is beyond adorable, and such a lucky pup to have found you, Mr. Lovee, and Matty. It's such a joy to welcome a new family member, and even more special at the holidays (we welcomed a new fur baby to our family too, little Guinevere!)
Second, I had quite forgotten about the releasing of wishes, but am happy for the reminder. (Wishes are so much better than resolutions!) My own wishes are threefold:
1. That my husband's upcoming cancer treatment be successful (and the same for everyone else out there facing the same challenge).
2. For strength and patience as a caregiver, and successful enough sales to keep us afloat during the time he's off work.
3. For hope and gratitude every day.
I also wish You, Mr. Lovee, Miles and Matty a 2011 filled with magic, joy and abundance!!

I love the wish boat! I have the same one from Norway, but, my boat doesn't have the norge sail, just the boat. So... hmmm wishes... I would like to be signed to a grand, kind, happy, publishing company so my little elves and faeries can travel a bit and bring smiles to faces. Yes, that would be grand. I wish that all those who are struggling in life have more respite and less strife. I wish joy and abundance would fly through the air and sprinkle down on everyone. Yes, that would do. Thanks my wish fairy friend for making all of this possible. Congratulations on your puppy! Blessings for the New Year!

Happy New Year Vanessa! One of my wishes is to beautify my Blog photos... but being Tech challenged I haven't got a clue as to how to edit them in a lovely way or what to use to do it??! I've always enjoyed how your photos have the rounded corners and those wonderful special effects overlaid on top of them (snow, stars, sparkles, textures). My 9 year old Grandson helped/tutored me in setting up my Blog in July and I'm thoroughly loving it... so my New Year's project is to learn more, and make it even better in 2011 so that those who visit will have beauty to behold and encouraging words to inspire them. Thank you for the Beauty and inspiration your Posts always give... Dawn... The Bohemian

I do hope that I am not too late for the wishes .... this one really needs to go out into the universe...
Wishing that I can get away from the negative person in my life who is so miserable he wants everyone around him to be that way too... I need to do this without a major upheaval .... as in moving from where I am right now... as this is the happiest I have been in ages...
Need to tell you that your new little guy is beyond ADORABLE!!! how fun for all of you and what a wonderful adventure... enjoy!!
LOTS OF HUGS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!! JO
