Thank you ever so so so so sooooooo much for a deliciously magical Mad Tea Party!
I had so much fun. I visited all the parties by last Sunday evening, and was simply blown away by everyone's parties. Everyone really had the Mad Tea Party mood in full wonderland enchantment swing.
I was delighted at each visit.
How can I thank you enough for joining in?
I'll tell you what, I am already inspired for jumping into my ship of dreams, and thinking about what we can conjure up for our Halloween party!
Parties always seem far away, but then all of a sudden it is a week before the event, and we sit there wondering where the time has gone.
Isn't it so true?
So this weekend, I am going to keep setting a special tea place for myself, and keep the party mood alive with ideas bubbling for fall.
I feel a little bit of the Halloween haunting mood trying to pull my toes. I really should pay attention. Mombie and I always talk about how we should do so much in summer for fall and Christmas. As the holiday crunch always seems so intense from September to December.
Still, when it is so hot here, and I am sipping iced tea in my garden tub, listening to vintage songs, really living summer to the fullest, I have a hard time thinking about the holiday season.
Although, just typing the word fall, made me get butterflies in my stomach......
I don't know about you, but I have had a very busy week. Running here and there, doing 5,000 projects at home. Moving huge furniture to and fro.
I am in this massive house and garden mode these days, just loving here, in this moment in time. Which Mister Lovee and I admit, is a lovely time in life. One for the memory vaults.
I also promise to tell you about my new cottage. The building months, how I will use it as a little hideaway, how it came to be, and how there are still more big projects going on in the garden. If you care to know, that is.
Goodness knows, you might be totally bored by me, and not want to hear any of it.
However, it is better than me coming here everyday and chatting about my dreams from the night before. I do that to my Mister. He seems to be very interested. I mean, he keeps perfectly quiet while I talk and talk. Oh wait, he sleeps through it ;)
haha!
Don't worry, I won't go down that path, hehe!
For tonight, I have a plan.
Mister Lovee brought me some delicious books this week (he always brings me thrifted treasures that I adore). Some excellent art books came to me, via he, and I am going to curl up, and be a perfectly despicable girl (a term I use often for myself).......
With no guilt about jumping into a fluffy bed (hang on to your tiara), jammied to the nines, and turning pages, whilst sipping lemon iced tea... yumm!
I can't wait to share another frocked Mad Tea event with you next year!!
Keep the lace and ruffles handy!
And thank you again, for a beyond wonderful Mad Tea Party season, 2011!!
Much love from all of us over here at A Fanciful Twist!!!
xoxo

pss: Floomplink means thank you in Gnome. I promise. A gnome told me. I didn't just invent it. No really ;)

Floompink and a Purrrrrmerow right back at you!!!! I speak Gnome too as there are several in the garden. They confirm that with slight exceptions for regional dialect differences you are correct in your choice of Floompink as meaning "thank you". Though out here in California we tend to say more often Floompinkued. I think the "ued" ending might have something to do with the surfer influence. The Purrrrmerow is Cat speak for "I-am-super-contented-and-I-send-you-many-meowrumbles-eye-squinting-paw-needing-belly-scratching-happy-gratitude-filled-purrs!
It is the end of the day here and I risk becoming too sentimental but I want to express to you how full my heart is at the moment. Thank you so much for EVERYTHING you do... for your superfragilisticexpeallidocious blog party, your fun silly fanciful self that lights a wonderful inspirational flame for others to follow... why? Well to learn how to have more fun in life (what it is all about in my opinion!). For your free creative spirit that is a wonder to all... You are lovely and in the vast land of internet blogs I am finding to my surprise my kindred family out there, something I never though I would, and you are by far a principal member. I appreciate you so much!!! Thank you Vanessa,
All my silly creative, off-the-wall- love,
Tricia and the kitties

Your tea party was great fun as always! Thank you for being such a lovely host! And you are right about how quickly things come around-this year I was completely unprepared and thought I had another week, then realised it was THAT DAY! and I hadn't done anything! I did have ideas-very vague ones, but it all worked out ok in the end. We wee out for the day and I was just putting the final full stops and corrections to my post when our guests arrived!
Fun fun!
Have a lovely time curling up with you art books. Sounds perfect.

You always throw such amazing parties, with such finesse and flare.
It is almost time to sort through my Halloween things and see what I have. There is always more things to collect and save.
Have a great 4th of July weekend.
Thank you for all you do for the world to see.

The party was great fun, Vanessa! Thank you so much for hosting ~ again! I hear ya about doing stuff in the summer for fall and the holidays. I actually did get a start already this year and made up a few things that will be gifts for Christmas. I did miss the heat and humidity deadline to get into the attic and try and clear through some of that stuff. I'm hoping for a couple of cool days so I might be able to still get to it before fall.

As always we had the best time at your party, and the parties that spun off.
We did not sleep for days although time went unnoticed - it moved quickly and stood still all at the same moment.
We will get through a bit more of summer's heat before we begin to plan for Halloween, but count us in!
Thank you thank you thank you in all languages.

Can you hear me screeeeeeaming all the way in a Bizarre Arizona?!!! Make that all the way in a Fanciful Mad Wonderland of a Vanessaful Arizona?!!! I am sending floomplinkalinkalinkness galore to you for the 8x10 print I won! I have 2 of your lovely lady portraits, and I would over-the-top love to add another and make it a trio. I will have a discussion with Camellia and Flora, and we will decide who shall join us.
Oh, you naughty, wicked, wondrous girl. You do love to toy with us! Ha ha! I think the drool smudges we leave on your posts should be evidence enough that we most certainly DO want to experience all of your other goings on and project-lisciousness! Oh, but the problem is we want to see them NOW, no, make that last week!!! : D Oh, but thou, the worker of all things magical, knows that anticipation is lusciousness in and of itself. Thusly and so, we shall wait for our ever-so-lovely enchantress to grant us another peek into the world we all would love to be our own . . . . We love you, Vanessa!

well, you must be EXHAUSTED...i have been peeking and sneaking and stalking and sometimes commenting and sometimes not in writing, but always out loud oohing and aahing at all the tea party madness.
NEXT YEAR i am in like flynn, as I have to have to bring Cowboy's idea to fruition (I was just too sad this year to tackle it).
Annnd, how very sympatico....i am dreaming of fall, of cooler days and pumpkin spice, of leaves falling and fires burning, of moonglow nights and apple crisp mornings, of needing a blanket to sit in the swing and read, early mornings and apple cider, of hearty casseroles and fresh baked pies....
and owls and black glitter and potions in glass and cauldrons bubbling and magic and of course a certain enchanted halloween soiree!
love you veevala <3....xoxxoviixoxoxox roo

oh my... the festivities were grand ~ starting at your little cottage and running from blog to blog & trying not to bee late..
but I must say I did put on a little weight by eating all the sweets & treats but each 1/8th of pound was happy to bee gained since there was sooo much more that was gained by exploring all of the wonderful wonderlands of blOZville...my little tea wasn't as grand as I wanted it to bee, due to the weather (it rained three days straight before the party)...
I will make it a point to start brewing & planning now for the Halloween festivites... I'll make a spell so I won't wait to the last minute to get things completed... Can't wait till next years "Mad Tea Party" either...this too I will beegin to start planning soon ~
like the saying goes "don't put off till tomorrow what can bee done today"
Well I'm off on my broom hehehehe again thank you miss vanessa the fairies, gnomes & pup boyz thank you too...for all your kindness, creativity and sweetness...
have a honey of a night ~

Floomplink, hahha...love it! And oh my gosh...fall, I can't even think of it yet. But it is nice to get started on the holiday stuff early, so it's not such a rush and you can enjoy it too, I agree!
