While all the gypsies are dancing around, living in the garden, having a good ole time...
I have had to contend with some mighty curious events unlfolding at the Dollhouse Manor...
It all started this weekend. While I was sound asleep...
There I was minding my own business, dreaming of the Patisserrie, when my eyelids popped open, ears startled by the sound of activity in the attic.
Oh no, thought I. Why had I been so eager to move to the Dollhouse Manor? I was like Jo March, desperate to run and find my life's true passion. Now I wished my sisters and Granny were here to help me find out what the attic noises were. Alas, they were all cozy at the Magic Yellow Dollhouse...
The attic was a large space, that was sure to be let at some point. Alas, the Manor keepers would certainly have warned me about a new tenant, so I wouldn't find myself too terribly startled. I was on the 3rd floor, the attic was on the 4th...
I decided to round up my tiny friends, and send them up to the attic, to see if they could report back with any news. It was ghosts I was hoping not to find...
What they reported was astonishing...
It seemed someone had moved in, secretly, quietly, by night... In the wee hours while everyone slept, including the mice.
A bed. A wall covering. An elfin rabbit. A harp.
They reported of quite curious furnishings. Perhaps the possessions of a character that traveled the world. A circus performer? A fortune teller? An Actress??
How could the attic become inhabited over night? What else did my friends find up those narrow little stairs?
French display cases...
Silver Tea Sets...
And a dressing table, holding wonderful little objects, including a large golden key...
The key did in my curiosity. I crept quietly upstairs, and found a keyhole for that key... And what was inside you ask? Why, two perfect ticket stubs to Leonard Cohen, live at the Beacon Theater...
So, perhaps, that is where the new inhabitant of the Manor Attic was? But better than that, perphaps she knew Leonard Cohen? Loved him once even?
Just then, little delicate footsteps were heard from the stairs...
Oh no, we'd be caught snooping!!
A hat emerged from the top of the stairs, eeeeps!!
But just then, she turned and scurried back down the stairs. Phew... She must have forgotten something....
We were safe. But oh who, oh who, could she be? Our limbs were wobbly from fear of being found out. Noone likes a snooper. I mean noone...
But snooping can be so exciting & heart thumping. What will we find? Surely you have done your fair share? Snooping at a new boyfriend's house? Snooping for gifts. Snooping in an abandonded cottage by the sea. Were you prepared for what you found?
I must just sit here for a second and breathe...
Perhaps you know something about the strange and curious woman, with unusual collections, who will reside in the Manor Attic?
Are you ready to share your most salacious snooping adventures?
♥ For a tid bit about one of my snooping mishaps...
