Sometimes, life is simply meant to be enjoyed. Burning "to do" lists. Burying stress and anxiety. As Dad says, sometimes I'd like to take a vacation from my brain...
What better place to do this, than the gypsy garden. I had a bright idea to move a very old bath tub and its crude plumbing, from the back yard to the gypsy garden, in the front yard. Alone. Through sheer determination and planning, I accomplished my goal...
And now, by golly, I am going to enjoy the heck out of it... I didn't get a bruised sore body for nuthin'.
So, where was I. Oh yes, sometimes, life is for living. For enjoying living. For giving ourselves a little break...
Sometimes, life is for the simple randomness of listening to a radio station. Instead of playing cd's and Ipods...
Sometimes, life is for, watching the bath drain...
For watching paint peel...
For enjoying the shadow dances of branches...
For watching the clouds, go by...
For nibbling on that delicious Paula Deen Tomato Pie Chris from Prism Trail suggested. (I used my own crust recipe - the one I gave you for the quiche. Bake the crust the same way as you would for a quiche, but fill it with the tomtato stuff, instead of quiche filling, and bake it like Paula Deen says ;)
Today, is a lovely day for dozing in the garden with your pooch. (this pooch by the way, is still recovering from her impromptu birthday that you all made soooo awesome!! Thank you beyond oodles!!)
All life events, including blogging, shall resume from the Gyspy Garden. So long as the weather holds up (doesn't look like rain will visit us ever again), and the weather is holding at the upper 70's to low 80's. I have to go work on my bath tub plumbing, and do some little repairs to the ball and claws...
Oh and, don't worry, living outside still has all necessary amenities - for visitors, there has always been an outhouse here ;) Although, I haven't painted it for 9 years. But, I like the distressed paint...
My friend came over last night with dinner. We had a lovely chiminea fire, and lots of twinkling lights. But I think my Annie Oakleyness freaked her out a little. She said "umm, my friend, you are channeling Renee Zellweger in Cold Mountain." HAHA!! Isn't that funny? But, I can't take credit for being that tough.
Eeks, I think it must be the hair and clothes... yes that must be it ;) (Zellweger photo borrowed from, reporter.blogs.com)
Anyhow, here is where you can find me. Send me a smoke signal or somethin' ;)
