Hello there friends! You are such a delightful bunch, I can't ever say that enough. Never, ever. We are doing lovely over here at A Fanciful Twist headquarters and finally getting a chance to peek in. Two words to describe us after last week's chair fiasco - busy and behind, Bzzzzzz...
But, the good news is that many faces have been itching to peek in and say heloooo. I have been trying to share little creatures for 2 months, and it seems, all sorts of things keep coming up ;)
The Littlewood family is eager to say a proper heloo as are many other littles...
Margot Clementina Littlewood -
And Olive Littlewood, have been tugging at my pantaloons, just itching to peek in and say helooo ;)
So many hellllooooos from our neck of the woods, but first...
As you can probably imagine, our resident patient is feeling better every day. It still aches like the dickens to laugh and - sneezing, OY, fahgetaboutit ;) But he is doing well. He escaped on me earlier in the week and went to the office for a little bit, a tad too soon in my opinion. So, he was needing some major nurse love. Alas, we are well, and happy the major pain part of last week is over. Still we sang and played instruments a whole lot. Well, I did at least ;)
Thank you ever much, for being such lovely loyal friends to me. How can I ever thank you?
I'll think of a way :)
In the mean time, there are lots of sweeties, just eager to make your acquaintance, so I have been working feverishly to get them all photographed, edited and here. Phew, what a job ;)
You see, some little desserts were speaking to me, quite literally, so to life they came...
Let me say, this might be an extra long post after I share a bevy of these wee faces. I have to say, I always feel like I have so many things to say and share. There is sooo much that happens in my little world that I don't ever get the time to share... Alas, one blog post is never enough to say it all... So I choose what to share here and there. And sometimes, wish, I could get it all down, but it just doesn't seem possible... And sometimes, really juicy stories escape ever being told ;)
Anyhow, the fun thing for today is that we have little faces. Dessert Cuties, Elves, and a few Art Dolls. The first cuties I am sharing and the newest members to my offerings are cake loves. Pastries of sorts ;) Cake heads really...

A bevy of little faces... They have been a lovely part of my days here at the studio. I just fall in love over and over with little faces. I want to sit and chat with them forever, alas, they want to go on adventures...
Speaking of adventures, I spent a good chunk of Saturday morning playing outside with the Littlewood girls. They are such dolls ;)
Such fun to be out on a nice spring day with them.
Cordelia Emmeline Littlewood is such a character...
She made this little book, with different species of roots, and she continually collects tid-bits on flora and fauna.
She keeps time on her clock that sits right on her crown. And, she makes sure to wear beautiful sashes that tie in a lovely ribbon, everyday...
Margot Clementina Littlewood is also enamored with nature. She collects speckled eggs that need to be warmed and hatched, protecting the little cracked ones especially.
Bees and butterflies find solace in the folds of her billowing gown. And she always carries with her a little jar filled with bits of moss she would like to inspect and grow in her greenhouse...
As this Littlewood scurries through the forest, we get a peek at her pink velvet ribbon and vintage lace...
I really enjoy every moment with these dolls. I hope you enjoy them too. I wish you could visit with them in person...
Our last little visitor for the day is Olive Littlewood. She is an extraordinary wee girl, with a gusto for imagination and stories anyone would like to have a slice of...
She wears bright red fairy wings, and carries a spool that she attaches all sorts of treasures to. She calls it her dream spool...
There is still a little bit of snow on the ground in their neck of the woods. But it is melting quickly, and spring is vibrantly alive, right underneath that last dusting of snow...
It is warm and lovely in Littlewood land...
Oops, I almost forgot there is a wee 5 tree cypress grove and a few snippets of Candyland Theaters...
So you see, besides taking care of the Mister, I have been creating and attempting to get it all together and into my wee shop... Where you can find all those smiling faces as of today... And now ;)
I have a gazillion things to fill you in on and share... Like I said, I never feel like I even scrape the tip of what goes on here. But I fear, if my posts get any longer, you will run screaming, never to return again...
;)
We send oodles of love from the country shackling as do all the creatures, created and of nature. I have been busy helping nature, as Mama quail and rabbits have placed their eggs and babies in very unsafe places. Some have not been so lucky. So I have been building housing for them, over and over... Can you imagine? I will share photos soon.
Tons of ♥ 's ~ Love, V and the not so English patient...
Ps: Have you seen 5 children and it? So cute & silly. Also, I adore Simon Schama, and saw all his Power or Art Episodes, loved them. I saw oodles of other flicks, but, you will never believe this. I had no interest in Twilight at all, ever. Still, I saw it last week, and well, I have to admit, I truly channeled my 17 year old girl self who needed to come out to enjoy it, and she loved it, and even fell for a couple of vampires ;) Then again, I am from the original Lost Boys and Goonies era, so it was easy to snuggle back into my teenage self for a day.
I loved Edward because even though he was 17, he was really from the early 1900's, which added an older quality to him. But I extra loved Carlisle. He looked a lot like Tom Cruise in a way? Mister Lovee says I like them because they don't feed on humans ;) (thanks for that insight Mister Lovee). All I know is, when my 17 year old self came out to play, she reminded me that I yearned for today, my whole teenage years. To be the age I am now, here in this moment in time. So, that was a great reminder... Anyhow, there is a puppy in the yard, not ours, so I better go check things out ;) Awwwwwe, I want a puppy!
