Was.
A.
Wacky Day.
Have you ever had one of those days where you are walking along, minding your own business, all is calm and then WHAMO. Wacky weird?
Expect the unexpected they say.
Make Lemonade out of lemons they say.
The inside of a soon to be cracked egg mess explodes and decorates the floor with bright happy confetti.
What do they say about that?
It wasn't a rotten day. I discovered a snafu with something and I had to stop everything I was doing and deal with it...
They say everything happens for a reason.
Maybe it does?
Once, I had an annoying snafu that made me late leaving the house, and it also kept me 2 minutes behind a horrible car accident.
A long long time ago a boy broke my heart so badly that I thought it would never heal. Time cured my heart and even erased him from my heart's memory. I healed and flourished and the boy turned out to be a rotten man to a girl he married. Boy was I happy he broke my heart early on...
They say, there is light at the end of a tunnel.
They say, change your perception and the whole world will change.
But, what do they say about cleaning your room?
Nothing I hope. Unless they say something like, there will be a pot of gold under your mess. Then again, you might find a note from one of the most important people in the world (if you clean your room)...
The reminder that you are someone's lovely child, is better than any ole pot of gold...
They say to make the most of what you have in life. I say, thank goodness for decoupage, felt balls, crystals, clay, twinkling lights and paint. They can help you build your palace, even in a country love shack...
Some days will be wacky, some days will be wonderful, some days will be rotten, some days will be sublime. Some days will even seem mundane...
Until the rainbow and the moon turn up at the same time, to remind you to open your eyes and see the bigger picture... (click on image for full effect ;)
And then, your wacky day turns out okay, albeit unresolved. Which is okay because the one you love hugs you in the kitchen. One of those hugs where they hold on and squeeze tighter with each breath. A never ending hug, full of the only thing that truly matters.
Maybe it really is about the confetti in the end? Confetti in your heart and in your soul, much like butterflies in your belly...
Yes yes, perhaps a little confetti is all we need?

ps: I am going to watch The Soloist right now and make some jewelry for my case in my friend's shop (I need to refill it tomorrow, eeeps!). And in a few days, I hope to be able to share the super fun thing I was supposed to share today, which snafued on me ;)
pss: All of the indoor photos in this post were taken at night, hence the strange lighting...
