Today was such a strange day. Little dreams fused together, and all of a sudden, they came true, just like that...
About six months ago, Mister Lovee told me there was a grand treasure with "huge" potential parked down the road. I drove by and couldn't find it... And that was that.
So, I kept dreaming, never knowing that my dream boat on wheels, really was parked down the road waiting for me...
Until today, when I heard a huge surprise was being delivered. A hand built contraption - perfect for the the title of Fanciful Gypsy Wagon...
And so, a very very unexpected gift was driven in, to sit under the trees and beckon me to make it become part of my wildest imagination... (insert- squeal, freak out, jump up and down)
There are some things that in my gut, I know will find their way to me someday. And I never say, "nah, that will never happen..." In my mind I try to say, yes, it could happen, it could! Then, when things do happen that I am hopeful for or about, I am left stunned and grateful to the core.
Believe. Believe. Believe.
Believe that one day, a little door to a secret compartment, on the front of an old wonderfully tattered (but sturdy and in good shape) gypsy wagon to be, will carry your luggage from cloud to cloud...
I think my luggage was delighted to finally be able to go on a voayge...
I LOVE the paint. Peeling, colorful, layered, beautiful old gal...
I have been playing with all sorts of ideas inside of the wagon today (of course, I almost got heat stroke too). I will show you more detailed pictures after she has a serious bath, and I can get my brain back into normal gear, as opposed to shocked silly...
Many years ago, my friend Dino and I had planned to build a gypsy wagon that would also house a marionette theater (that story can be found here). I made a sign and painted a gypsy woman and hung it right inside here...
Today, I was able to remove my Gypsy Theater Sign...
And put it on my little wagon...
The garden welcomed it with open arms as I hung my birdcage from my Grandpa on the side...
On either side of the wagon, there is a wee ledge (below), which is super cute for displaying trinkets for sale etc...
I can't wait to show you more. Like I said, after she has a bath, I will take more photos. The inside is a perfect size. Not huge, but not small either. It is perfect for a little bed or a little antique sofa and a table and shelves and other things to make an adorable little room to disappear into and dream and draw and invite friends over to play in...
The wonderful news too is that, the wagon is only 13 steps from the garden bath...
I called to get a ball hitch installed on my car, who knows, I might want to go for a night in the mountains in my wee wagon...
I best start packing ;)
Today I realized, almost everything I own is antique or vintage or tattered or chipping. And, that's just the way I love things. Mister Lovee is a lovely ole chap for recognizing my quieros (desires/wants) and for liking the same things I do.
Yes, sometimes we bicker like children. And sometimes, we get on each other's nerves. But, there is much much love and compatibility. And the bickering is kind of fun, because we always end up laughing in the end.
We love our wacky little lives on our wacky little property. Simple and wacky.
Once, 10 years ago, we were on this swing and Mister said to me, over popsicles and one raindrop tear, "Thank you for enhancing my life..."
I have felt the same way about him ever since myself, and he knows it for sure ;)
Now, back to the gypsy and getting my wee abode in order...

ps: I am playing a little Django Reinhardt and the sky is hopefully sending a storm to cool the land so I can go back outside and play...
