Heloooo. Oh goodness, I meant to be here so much earlier. Alas, it has taken me 9+ hours to get everyone ready to be photographed, then photograph, edit and pop them into ye ole shoppe, etc. etc...
As you can imagine, I am very happy to be typing now, and sharing tiny treats with you. This lil' tea cup below is my version of a limoges tea cup that once stole my heart away...
Before I start chatting your eyeballs off, I am just going to jump in and introduce you to the new little characters offered for sale in my shop. (As always, all paper dresses are made out of vintage dictioanry pages)
I have been having the most exquisite visits with a Little Gypsy named Fionnula Fleur.
She is full of stories, especially stories regarding the little treasures she sells.
In her basket of goodies for sale you might find tiny jars with gems or tiny vintage photos, herbs, mushrooms, bits of lace and even baubles to decorate the finest gowns...
Sometimes Fionnula Fleur likes to meet a friend under the great big tree in the center of the Fairytale Forest for afternoon tea...
Her favorite tea time friend is named Francesca Rosette Bumble Bee Garden, who always carries with her, a giant tea-cup, and of course, a magical pot of honey...
She is a delight. She is a grand collector of bumble bee treasures, and even keeps a secret flower garden full of kind honey bees...
Every once in a while, Fionnula and Francesca are visited by two very sweet girls who love to frolic in the fairytale forest.
Ophelia Periwinkle was born princess of Mystical Moss Palace.
Sometimes she takes off her crown...
And puts on her favorite little felt wizard's hat...
Oh and, she never leaves home without her beloved tiny cuckoo clock that hangs from her neck on a golden thread, and her nest full of fibers and trinkets for making pretty things. Notice her tiny crochet hook ;)
The fourth wee gal from the Fairytale Forest, that joins the gals above for frolic and fun is known as Marie Antoinette and the perfectly Enormous Cupcake...
She is so sweet and kind, making sure to always carry a cupcake big enough to share...
The girls love to keep their eyes wide open, because you never know when you might spot a Cake-Head Love or tiny precious elfin, such as...
Abigail Raspberry Cream Cake Delight -
Cherry Cobbler Mouskewitz -
Cordelia Lemon Custard Apple Blossom-
Florentina Strawberry Cream Macaron
Lily Tea-Cake Soiree -
Remi Lovelots Elfington -
And, Sunny Sweet Cake -
Oh and, I have a new little face to introduce you to. Some of you may or may not know that I have an ongoing series of paintings called "Super Bake Girls." But, for the first time ever, I have brought a Super Bake Girl to life via clay. There are more to come, but for today, this is -
Super Bake Girl Emilia Sweet Cream -
Soooo, those are the little characters that I am placing in my shop as soon as I publish this blog post.
Oh, I almost forgot -
I am popping a Secret Tea and Sweets box in my shop as well. I was asked to make this box by Stampington early last year. You can see it in the current issue of Somerset Gallery. In the issue you don't get to see a photo of the top, but it actually features an image of one of my paintings titled Enchanted Tea Time -
The box is back in my possession and ready to find a home...
If you waited at all today for my update, I am ever so sorry it took me all day to accomplish said task. It is always a bigger job than I anticipate...
The behind the scenes here is absolutely nutty, I tell ya, but quite amusing in the maddest sense ;)
See you soooooon!
♥ ,V
ps: I will share the original illustrations I eluded to in the last post, later this week...
pss: A very humble and grateful thank you if you popped into my shop update this evening. I will have more characters very soon ♥
psss: If you got to see my hilarious typo that was supposed to say "popping into the shop" but instead said, well you can imagine what it said ;) Trust me, I am still laughing about it myself ;) Sorry about that, tee hee, it was totally unintentional ;) goodness, meeeee.....
