"Guacamole Enchiladassss!" We missed Cinco de Mayo! Oopsie. It seems, we were too busy in the garden, rolling around like dogs (quite literally in fact)...
Whilst marveling at nature's treasures. The roses are so huge this year, and they seem extra beautiful for some reason. Although Mister Lovee says, they look exactly like every other year. I think my senses are heightened...
We have 4 rose bushes that are almost 40 years old, or so, and they are ever so bountiful and kind. There are two bushes that give blood red roses, one that gives us coral roses, and a pink frosting rose bush, whose roses you can see here...
I have taken to walking up to the roses and nuzzling my face right into the center. It's the best...
I have a proper garden post planned, and snippets of the insane amount of seeds I planted, and which ones are making it. You see, it seems, the gophers and birds like to play games with me ;)
But for today, it is all about roses, and fur babies, and the tiny lawn...
I had big dreams for my garden this year. So, I planted and planted and toiled, and now, the results are popping up here and there. I even worked on this super dry patch of earth, surrounded by the remnants of a greenhouse that was once on this property. I prepared the ground, planted grass seeds in that space, and grass grew in 7 days.
I still can't believe it. I know some of you lucky ducks live in green land, but I live in desert land, so having a tiny lawn to roll around in has been a treat indeed. (plus, I had never tried to grow grass before, nor did I really know what I was doing ;)
But the roses, the roses never let us down. The first year I found myself at this place, almost 10 years ago, it was April, and the roses were in full bloom.
Mister gave me a basket and let me cut so many roses, that I was able to carpet a path with rose petals. I will never forget that spring and summer...
I have been a part of this place, since that very weekend in April, all those years ago.
And now, we get to share the rose love...
With furry little children...
And, with you!
Today, while we were rolling in the grass, I took a wee video. And, I decided to take the opportunity to properly thank you for all the love that so many of you continue to send Baby's way.
We are so thankful for your good vibes, for prayers, for positive thoughts sent into the universe, and into the heavens. You can't imagine what it means to me, to know that others love fur babies as much as I do, and that I am not alone in that.
Anyhow, here is a snippet of fur baby love, with many thanks sent your way...
(Matty is a love (even though he is really mean to strangers), but every time he sees me with the video camera, he gives me the cold shoulder, haha!)
See you, super soon ;)
