I woke up the other day, with a birthday cake desire. The idea of having a special occasion day, with a great big cake and a bunch of balloons, from the cake and balloon shop, sounded like out of this world fun.
I sort of asked-told Mister Lovee that I really wanted a birthday cake. He happily agreed, and was totally game.
Only, it wasn't my birthday. My birthday is in December :)
Then we proclaimed that it was my very merry unbirthday. We got dressed up. We went thrifting.
We bought a cake. It was so exciting!!!
A white chocolate strawberry ganache cake.
We all had so much fun. The pups adored the balloons, and they ran around playing. Even Baby was doing wonderfully. She has good days and not so good days. But she is such a good sport, I can't even tell you. She wants to live, she wants to play. I think she more than deserves that, she is such a great furry gal...
She kept nudging at my hand that was wrapped up with balloon ribbons, as if to say my turn, so I let her wear them very loosely, as they were light and were not hurting her at all.
She loved every minute of it.
I think that everyone should throw themselves an impromptu very merry unbirthday. Don't you? Life is too short to not live it up madly!
So I say, throw yourself a very merry unbirthday as soon as possible. You won't regret it ;)
It was magic...
Just as good as a real birthday. Maybe even better.
Mister had a gift. A hand written note, on the inside of an old envelope...
Isn't that sweet? What a guy. Better than any ole gift, any day.
I don't care at all about age numbers. But, if you do, then this is a perfect excuse for throwing an unbirthday. Just take off a year of your actual age, with each unbirthday that you celebrate ;)
And then, if you are like us, you can have a 48 hour unbirthday party ;)
Everyone here had sooo much fun that...
(I just love this little guy. It has been challenging and beautiful, watching him slowly come out of his shell. Now he practically knocks me down with love. Although, he is still mean to strangers :)
After the unbirthday festivities, everyone just sort of fizzled out while getting massaged ~
Baby to my left..
Mister Matty Matisse to my right...
Everyone was peacefully relaxing.
Until their human daddy started with his balloon thief antics...
Funny guy!
Tee heeeee...
And then, all the Party Animals were ready to party again...
I love impromptu festivities. I love summer evenings (we have summer weather here already, so cool nights are quite beloved). I love being able to share a few tid-bits with you...
Now, let Monday madness ensue!!
I am painting and working in clay today. Fun fun to come ;)
Oh and, I heard that wonderful Roo is having a birthday, so I think it rather appropriate to dedicate this post to her...
Happpppyyyyy Biiiirthdaaaaay Roooooooooooster!!
And maybe, she might want to do this on her special day...
I want to do it now, myself ;)
See you sooooooon!
