Ooo, it came upon us sooo fast!!
It's here, Christmas times abound!
Collecting bits from the garden to make a fresh wreath.
Vintage satin ribbon we had on hand.
Easy and heart filling.
Boxwood, Pine, Rosemary, Berries.
Pomanders with oranges off the tree.
Sooo wonderfully fragrant.
Two looks.
Candy tones in one part of the house, fresh greens in the other.
The Christmas branch is up.
I found it on the ground the other day with all my fave vintage pink and teal ornaments broken. Hope I can replace them somehow.
Here it is put back together, luckily these survived.
The tiny village is a lovely treat every year.
Pink and teal love.
Some of the houses light up, so I have left them on and glowing for a couple weeks now.
One of my fave little friends...
Peaceful busy little times.
I have been baking like a patisserie of the real variety, putting goodies together.
Decorating.
Sending out last minute orders.
It's been great fun.
Holiday madness is good for the soul me thinks.
I decorated one of the real trees on a whim.
It's very grown up for me ;)
The swirled branch/vine ornaments look like bee hives to me.
I tucked in some fresh pittosporum.
They said the live garland would last weeks.
Not true, I remove it, soak it, get more, find fresh pieces...
It only lasts a couple days though.
It will be crisp as heck by the 26th, haha!
Well, I best get a move on.
I have a Christmas lasagna to finish up.
(new tradition, with bread and salad and ever sooo many treats)
I am not sure I will be able to assemble with Mister gobbling up the meat sauce.
He has made lots of deliveries to loved ones while I package and bake away.
Don't tell him I told you, but he is rather into Christmas it seems.
He put a horn on the mermaid, and a flute, but I took that away :)
And a mousie in one of the trees.
Warm and glowing, and time.
I was so sad because I didn't have a baby Jesus for my Joseph and Mary.
I thought about making one I got so desperate.
I whined for weeks about a baby Jesus.
One day I found a meringue in baby Jesus' place.
Funny Mister Lovee.
But this morning, when I woke up, I was moving things around, placing presents Mister Lovee's family sent us, went I let out a swoon scream...
BABY JESUS!!!!!
On a bed of straw.
Mister Lovee snuck in a precious baby Jesus.
Sigh...
Isn't that nice?
Love that gesture.
Happy Birthday baby Jesus!!
And, the most Merriest Christmas wishes to you and yours.
Thank you for being so kind to us.
For being kindred as heck!
For sharing yourself, and visiting us from time to time.
Truly, thank you.
Thank
You.
Loooove,
Vanessa, Mister Lovee, Matty and Miles.
xoxo
