Have you been a devoted lover of a certain musician for years and years?
Someone who you listened to as a teen and then on throughout your life until now?
Whose music has been a part of your life's soundtrack?
One of those people for me is Tori Amos.
She shared her songs of finding your way in my late teens, songs of finding your own fire, courage and strength in my 20's, songs of life and the human experience in my 30's, the now.
There were songs of growing up, losing babies, going on with life through hardships, having a daughter, and the milestone of Tori turning 50 - and all the emotions and feelings that come with that as you change and grow older.
Through the years her message has been constant -
Never lose your fire and creativity, even if you get off the path and have to refind it, you can!
She speaks about it here.
Whether you are a fan, a follower or not familiar with her...
If you are a mom or a daughter, you may love this song.
It made me cry.
Tori Amos and her 13 year old daughter Natashya doing a duet.
I love the whole song, but the chorus and the end really touch me extra so.
This duet is also on her new album.
Goodness, that was so lovely wasn't it?
I just had to share it.
Love, V
