Oh spring, finally here.
Can you even believe it?
I sure can't.
Last year was so dry and warm.
This year we had a super rainy winter with snow on New Year's.
The garden is so grateful.
The desert adores the moisture.
So, fancy that we would go into spring with a little spring shower.
How lovely.
The rain knocked wisteria petals off the vine and created sheer magic on the ground.
The vine was so full and fragrant as the clouds rolled in.
Twisting itself up the gazebo frame that is in the little area where a greenhouse sat long before we came along.
Greenhouse remnants, love them so.
Wish I had a real greenhouse.
But a memory of one is lovely too.
Especially when inside is a carpet of wisteria flowers.
Droplets had purple petals fluttering about, like a mid summer night's dream or something.
Nature.
Amazing.
Some vines crawled up into the climbing roses and are blooming together.
And as I tip toed about today, cool earth and breeze with sun peeking through clouds...
I managed to find enough flowers to make a lovely bouquet.
A perfect way to say hello to spring again.
Oh glorious spring!
Makes me want to write fairy tales and roll in the fresh lawn.
Flower times again.
Seem sort of too good to be true.
Flowers I mean.
Tucking them in here and there.
I really am always in awe of such colors and petals in nature.
I just can't get over it.
Sweet little cup of blooms.
I'd give them to you if I could.
And now the wisteria that hangs on, is full of carpenter bees.
Gulping away.
Sweet things.
As we enjoy the wisteria on the ground.
It's like a little dream for me.
So many years of building my country garden.
Then, one day, the wisteria does its thing.
And I think, wow, my hard endless work is really paying off.
So, I bliss sigh.
Thankful hearted as can be.
As I bring my little bouquet inside.
Sniffing all along the way.
We are so lucky for seasons aren't we?
Fresh blooms of early spring, delicious.
Wonderful.
Beyond words.
Are you spying some goodness in your neck of the woods yet?
Spring excitement is in the air for sure.
Happy weeeeekend!!
Love, V
