When spring bursts into my garden I like to make sure to enjoy it.
Take some time and really be present in the loveliness of it all.
What better way to enjoy the garden than with a tiny tea party?
It's so easy to let spring pass you by.
It all happens so quickly and changes minute to minute.
So, I had to simply enforce a tea party today.
Tea party, no option.
How's that for rules? :-)
It's been windy, with bits of blooms and petals flying around everywhere.
This morning I decided that I would extra enjoy the rose arbor for afternoon tea.
I picked roses and did some garden chores.
Then I chose some pretties, placed them on a tray and out I went.
I find putting pretty things together and taking photos to be so inspiring.
One inspiration leads to another.
I picked fresh chamomile for tea.
And let the wind toss wisteria petals about.
Those first roses of spring sure do make me happy.
The colors and feelings the spring garden ignites are so sooooo exciting.
Just being in the moment.
Candles dripping in the wind.
Picking ranunculus and matthiolas.
Happy as can be, under my rose arbor.
If you stand right in the middle it almost gives you a hug.
It's ever so full and happy these days.
These colors are so truly joyful aren't they?
Spring in full effect.
Tossed about, infusing the soul.
Inspiring the mind.
New and fresh and pretty nature.
Such a lovely place to be today.
I enjoyed it immensely.
I feel true love for my garden.
So glad I worked so hard on it for so many years, the pay off is really something.
There are days you have to say to yourself, it's time to have some fun.
Cart some tea things outside and make it happen.
Then you're so happy you did.
Swooningly happy.
Sometimes, you have to be a part of making the magic you want to experience.
Creating it, planting it, watering it, and then the part so easily forgotten.
Enjoying it.
Appreciating it.
Tea parties included ;-)
Hope spring finds you extra well and lovely as can be.
I am busy as a bee gallivanting to and fro, jumping, hiking, visiting.
I've really been going going going a lot lately.
With visits and friends and family.
My days are gone in less than a snap, it's crazy.
What's happening out there in your woods?
Happiest spring wishes to you!
Love, Vanessa
