I would like to personally invite you on an adventure with me...
Up the attic stairs and into a wonderland of costumes.
Finding just the right ruffles and lace gloves to prepare for a Hallowen fete.
A tea party if you will, of the costumed variety.
Witches, warlocks, fairies, cats, dragonflies...
What ever your mystery may be, join together to clink tea cups with me, won't you?
On Saturday the 24th of October I will be sharing my festivities with you.
(details at the end of this post)
All you have to do is say yes, and be here when the clock strikes midnight taking us into the 24th of October.
I am knee deep in the magical old trunk, searching for the perfect frock.
Sparkles, and lace and hats and old brooches, oh my!
A tiara, and mask, ribboned dancing shoes...
Hugest pearls, sparkly heels and a mask do delight!
What is your mystery costume of choice?
A billowing dress to twirl in under the moonlight?
Bangles up to your elbows?
A tutu, a jack-o-lantern a wand and a dream.
What more could you need really?
Oh I know, a tea cup with your favorite mystical punch.
I mean tea :-)
But wait...
The hour is closing near...
The light is changing, golden hour signifies the sun setting and the perfect hour for...
Magic and mischief of epic proportions.
Grab your top hat and join me, won't thee?
For what is life without a little celebration of sparkle and wonderland madness for October?
Oh that enchanting light...
Signifying evening time, when all the fairies take flight.
And so, yes it is true, a Halloween party for you will be happening this Saturday.
A virtual tea party of course, hosted right here on my blog.
If you have participated in past years then you know the hauntingly magical steps to take.
To view the Halloween tea party simply show up here on the 24th and I will share my own tea party through photos and videos.
It is open to everyone.
If you would like to have your own blog tea party at the same time (which you would share on your blog & link back to me), simply post a link to your party in the comment section of my party blog post on Saturday and I will add your link within the body of my post.
Then the party will be there to enjoy until the 31st (well forever really).
That's all.
Either be a guest who wanders through clinking tea cups virtually or host your own blog party and post your link on Saturday and let your friends know by linking to me.
Easy as pumpkin pie with cardamom icing.
I'd love to know if you plan to join in.
I simply can not wait my dear fanciful friendlings <3 <3 <3
I know it's quite short notice, but the month just blew by so quickly.
And sometimes, the best things are done at the spur of the moment <3
See you on Saturday, with a Halloween extravaganza <3 <3 <3
We will party all Saturday evening and beyond.
Lots of love,
Vanessa
ps: later this week I will post the most outrageous giveaway on my Instagram account, be sure to check in <3
But only because over 20 years ago I decided that Valentine's day is a me day.
I love hearts and swirls of pinks and red.
The guy at the candy store asked me if I was having a party, I said, why yes I am!
Little did he know, tee heeee!
Me me me meeeeeee!
That also means a party for you you you youuuu!
(you should have seen the sweet tooth hatter's face when I told him he could have all the candy, childhood dreams come true right there, haha!)
I love setting my parties up and photographing them, it is such a fun creative outlet.
A perfect fun thing for me to do on Valentine's day.
That's the one thing I've always loved about our yearly tea parties, it's that setting them up and taking pictures of them really immerses you in the moment.
Mindfulness is crucial in this crazy life.
Take some time for you.
We do enough self loathing.
How about some self loving?
What if you could believe that everything in your life is just as it should be?
Perfectly imperfect.
I'm just happy to be here - the journey is short enough so I intend to enjoy it.
Good-bye fretting.
Good-bye worry warting.
Hello LOVE.
The way to love your life is to love the good and the bad.
The way to love yourself is to love the good and the bad.
Acceptance.
The way to feel better is to SING!
Embrace the moment, find your joy for the day.
Happiness is contagious.
Be a lover not a hater.
Falalalalalalaaaaa!
Hope you enjoyed your party.
Now I gotta run, I have to continue with my funnnnnn!
I intend to marinate in this magic a few more days.
I can't handle how cut and dry November 1st becomes.
No no no, not for me, I need a little more.
My mom gave me the most charming menagerie of circus characters which worked perfectly for my décor this year.
Sparkles and sweets galore.
Oh Halloween, how I love you.
Twirler in the midst!
My dining table is soooo happy right now.
Dancing and silliness abounds!
What must she see in her crystal ball?
I always love a zebra, don't you?
Twinkle lights and glitter everywhere!
It isn't Halloween without the green hand right?
Owls and crows and berries oh my!
We always need a really rude sweets eater to seal the deal, wouldn't you say?
:-)
And little white pumpkins to brighten the day.
Witches and black cats, candy corn and caramel apples...
Owls and bats...
And don't forget Boo!
The favorite word in our costumed acts!
I'll never get enough, oh no sireeee!
Give me this mayhem and magic more than once yearly, please oh please!!
A curtsy and twirl and magical sparkly swirl!
We loooove Halloweeeen!
Oh my fellow Halloweenies, how I love this time of year.
I'll have Halloween all weekend before I am fully prepared to change décor.
It's been more than busy around here, as you know.
I've had crazy personal real estate dealings (my previous career which I still keep a toe in for fun). Don't worry, the country house is not going anywhere.
And, so many other things which I am going to tell you all about soon.
I promise.
It's all good, but different and sooo unexpected even for me.
Like a crazy dream, this little journey.
The twists and turns of life you seeee.
But for now we have circus magic and Halloween bewitchings a plenty.
I still have black painted nails and a jack-o-lantern by my bedside.
The wonderful fairytale like quality of autumn is certainly here, what a thing.
The blessing of seasons, how lucky are we?
Love, V
Ooops, I almost forgot...
Our winner for a copy of Country Sampler magazine is...
Fancy finding you here at the top of the rabbit hole.
Care to jump in with me?
It's almost time, time for tea, tea and treats, treats and tea.
It's true, It's true, it's time you see!
Take my hand, and down we go.
Tumble tumbling to and fro...
Ding dong dingggg!
Oh it's true, it really is.
Our yearly tea time fun event.
All our friends are waiting through the garden gate...
You know the drill!
It's time so don't be late, be late be late!!
Let the magic and imagination unfold.
The rabbit's here just in time I'm told!
Grab your cup to start the journey.
In just a few weeks we'll be clinking and twirling!
It's the bestest time, such goodness, such glee!
Time to let enchantment unfold for you, and you and meee!
What is summer without a mad tea party I ask?
The dishes are stacked, the kettle is on.
It's our 9th annual event, can you believe it?
Oh my, oh me!
Like a dream, we get to go there.
A party of our own making, come on in won't you?
Let the fun begin!
You host yours and I host mine and we all share on that special time!
But when oh, oh when, oh when will it be?
Saturday July 23rd, 2016, mark the date.
Here is a dandy little flyer I made up for the festivities.
I'm so excited, it's time more than well spent at this special event.
Wouldn't you say?
So, here we gooooooooooo!
These flyers and buttons below are for you to use on your blog.
You know the drill by now, but perhaps you've forgotten or it's your first soiree?
To begin....
Copy the button and/or flyer to your own computer.
Use the large image for blog posts so that it will not be pixelated.
The small image for sidebars.
To save the images yourself do the following:
Click on the large flyer image and it will open in a new window.
Click on the flyer again and it will show you the largest size available.
Then simply right click on image and save to your computer to use on your own blog.
(do the same for the small flyer button)
That's how to save the flyers, but here are the rest of the party details.
Wondering what to do if you sign up?
The mad tea party is open to anyone with a blog who wants to host their own blog event the day of the tea party. It's basically a traditional blog hop.
However, if you do not have a blog you can still come here on the day of the event and watch it all happen.
If you are signing up to participate in the Mad Tea Party all you have to do is leave me a comment below, with your blog link, stating that you wish to join in.
I will then add your name to the sidebar list of partiers.
Next, please follow these rules...
1) Share the flyer and/or the button on your blog as soon as possible and link back to me. I will then add your name to the "Mad Tea Partiers" list in my blog side bar and link back to you.
2) On the day of the party, Saturday July 23rd 2016, please make sure to post a Mad Tea Party post of your own on your blog, then link back to me. Other partiers will be visiting you on that date.
3) IMPORTANT - On the day of the party, after you have your own Mad Tea Party blog post up and running, please leave a comment at my Mad Tea Party post, including your "Actual Party Link." It will serve as an archive of all partier links.
(most partiers post their party at 12 a.m. because of time differences with partiers around the world)
4) Blog hop with the other partiers on the day of the event and have a mad blast!
5) The party usually lasts two days or more. Leave your blog post up for a couple/few days if you can. It will take folks several days to make visits. Sometimes a whole week. Remember the more folks you visit, the more that will visit you. Such a great time to make blog friends!
6) For a more enjoyable and easy visit for your guests, please remove word verification (captcha) for comments during the party. This will make things so much easier for everyone.
And, allow people to comment without having to sign in, just by leaving a name and/or url please.
7) Double check the list to make sure your name is on it if you want it to be because I may make a mistake :)
Note: If you sign up, please make sure you post a party post on your blog for Saturday July 23rd. If you sign up and later find that you can't make the event, please let me know as soon as possible, and I will remove your name from the list.

You have lots of time to sign up, right up until the very last moment if need be, we are flexible.
If you don't have a blog it's okay, you are invited to visit with us here and at participating blogs on the day of the event.
They're conjuring up all sorts of goodness for you.
Wouldn't that be fun?
We're setting our table and getting out the treats.
There's little more we love than witches tea.
Won't you think about joining us?
It will be our 8th annual Halloween soiree.
Saturday October 24th.
You can share anything you'd like for your party as long as it is Halloween themed.

Oops, looks like someone may have eaten the caterpillar!
Lovely meeting again, in that place where wishes flutter on the breeze of flipping book pages.
Where imagination is limitless and stories live on for 150 years and more.
Thanks to Lewis Carroll, we meet on this 150 year anniversary of Alice in Wonderland.
In 1865, a dreamer too, wrote a tale so inspiring and magical that it lives on and defines a part of our imagination in ways not even he could have imagined.
We clink to a magnificent tale and the man who thought it up ♥
So that we could continue partying like it's 1865 year after year!
Generation after generation.
And so we plunge...
Into the mad tea party chapter.
Because really, what's anything without a little madness?
Sweets and treats.
Teacups stacked from here to there.
It's time it's time!
The light of golden hour flickers in...
As we gather right outside the fairy bower.
A perfect place to sip and munch before deciding to plunge through the arbor into wonderland.
Candy coated chocolates roll about the table.
As cakes call your name.
I thought the baby pig was cute, so I stole her from a previous chapter.
Who wouldn't want to gaze upon ruffled flowers and maybe swallow a cake or two?
Even pigs do.
Sparkles and petals and happy things galore.
Pretties and buttercream and sipping tea with striped strawers?
Little moon faces made out of sugar and edible glitter beg to be dunked...
In they go...
Swirling to and fro.
Then sipped for ultimate magical experience at any tea party.
I wonder what the hatter has planned for us this year?
Do you know white rabbit?
I'm sure there's stacks of tea cups filled with the tea of your choice.
And sweets and whimsy and enchantments for certain.
Oh yes yes, without question, for certain.
Kindred friends will gather and share their love...
For tea party goodness and a tale so beloved.
The characters of A Fanciful Twist are peeking out.
Getting excited for their yearly delight.
We've saved you a seat, so join us if you can.
Saturday July 11th, make it a plan.
We'd be ever so ever so ever so glad.
If you did and could and would, oh do!
Jeweled flower petal tea is waiting for you.
Take the key and tumble down...
To our 8th annual mad tea party in town!!
Below is this year's flyer, just click it to open in a larger window.
Then right click and save to your computer to use on your own blog.
Same for the button below.

Get out your most tarnished sugar pot for your spookiest guests!
Dust off a top hat, a pointy hat too!
Then plunge!
But, watch out for your head.
Pumpkin babes, that includes you!
It's that time of the year, for frolic and magic galore.
Throw out everything conventional, replace it with nonsense and s'mores!
I heard that some of the guests have started their journey through the haunted pumpkin patch forest.
They want to be here in time for the festivities, of course.
Please note, it wouldn't be a smashing soiree if you didn't join in too, this much is certain.
Please accept this invite, from me to you.
Won't you, oh won't you?
Pointy hats win!!
I hope you can make it, I am deliriously excited!

ps: If you would like to get some ideas or inspiration, visit here to see parties from years past.
pss: I also have a pinterest board dedicated to Autumn & Halloween with gobs of delights, right here.
I am so excited for all that comes with this wonderful autumn season!
Hidden on my parcel of earth is one of a few little rooms, a cottage of sorts.
This is a space I fill with herbs and garden findings, candles and treasures.
When autumn begins to nip at my toes, I know it's time to let a little extra magic out.
This is the space where that happens.
Since autumn looms in the nearish future, and I have enchanted Halloween parties on my mind -
I thought a trip back in time to this party would be just what the good witch ordered for today.
Come with me, won't you my pretty?
Magic is abrewin', and we're just waiting for you to join in...
(all spell and potion labels you see in this post can be found in my online shop here)
Tales and gypsy wagons, ghosts from old photographs, cottages in the woods and witches casting spells are all part of what make up our magically haunted festivities!
If you are hosting your own tea party today, please don't forget to leave your party link in comments.
It will serve as a lifelong archive, and an easy way for others to find you after the party has come and gone.
Also, please leave your party post up a few days, as it takes several days for people to make visits.
We are getting ready for a huge storm, so my power may be in and out this weekend.
But luckily, we were here today, hooooray!
I so look forward to visiting you all!
Loooooooooove, V
Let the partying continue!!
ps: If I visit your blog and you are a participant, but I see no mad tea post, I am sorry in advance but I will remove your name off the list. I understand life happens so don't fret, I won't be cross at all. If you happen to get a post up and want to be re-added email me k? Thanks for understanding.
The Mad Hatter himself, up to all of his yearly shenanigans!
Get inspired, get excited.
Tell all your friends.
Let's plunge!
Let's dance, let's sip galore!
I am soooo excited for this time of year!
It's one of the bestest times of all.
Filled with as much magic as your imagination wishes.

And so sorry for the short timing.

It's mad, it's fun, it's wonderful!
I love Mad Tea Party season!!!
Hope you can make it!
Any comments or questions, I'll answer anything you'd like in the comments section.
If you visit older parties, look in the comments sections to see links to everyone who participated and their own parties.
Fun fun!
Love, V
ps:
Sorta Important.
Okay so, guess what?
For some reason some of your comments and my responses, went into a spam folder, and never got published
All my own comments to some of you, for the last couple weeks, were in spam.
And some of yours.
I just resuscitated them.
But they got published all jumbled, and some of them, were of some of you saying you wanted to be part of the mad tea party. So please please please, if you don't see your name on the list, let me know and I will fix it right away, k?
I would never leave anyone off the list intentionally, ever.
And the orange flame candle, lit for a year of bliss!
Or six.
Locked up nice and safe, are...
The witch fingers themselves.
Folks travel near and far, for a taste so sweet, it's hard to beat...
Unexplainable power bestowed when nibbled, they say.
So take a bite, eat it whole, go ahead, pave the way!
(I made these fingers, and dusted them -using a paintbrush- with powdered cocoa before putting them in the oven. Recipe links and tips at my other blog, here)
Don't be shy, I say.
Now plunge for sure, okay?
Into...
Sparkle and magic and imaginations running wild!
Fantastical treats and moments in time we await, year after year...
After year.
Now here!
The end of October, a time of year so vastly dear.
Our childhood comes by for a visit.
And in some miraculous way, we feel free to unleash our true selves.
Although, Witchy says we should always carry it with us.
No matter the age.
No matter the time.
No matter what anyone says.
The magic is always within us...
Waiting to take a skipping stroll, a twist a tumble.
Let hair loose, and off we go!!
Dancing in circles under candle and moon light...
Cheers, cheers, cheeeers to the ghoulish world!!
Mayhem and merriment, clink to that, yes sireeee!
As night embraces us, and stars twinkle way up in the sky...
Anything is possible.
You don't even have to try.
It's there for the taking, a hearty dose of what you need.
Dreams, wishes, miracles, magic indeed!!!
Thank you sooo much for being a part of our 5th annual Halloween blog party!
It's been a pleasure and a delight to have you over.
Please stay a little bit longer, won't you?
You are always welcome, at A Fanciful Twist.
Let's party like mad, like crazy, oh yes!!
Before I go wander around and visit other partiers, I want to share an awesome treat.
One of our lovely sponsors named Dawn Marie Howard has a grand gift to giveaway.
By the way, Dawn has a wonderful blog you can visit here.
And a shop filled with all sorts of fun things called...
I have not had my socks knocked off with this year's Halloween magazines on newstands and such.
Have you?
So, I think we need to get together and make our own magic.
When I think Halloween, I want serious Halloween.
I want sparkles oozing out of my pores.
I want pumpkins beyond galore.
I want the hugest caramel apples ever.
I want, I want....
I want major Halloween festivities.
I want twinkly lights coming out of my ears.
I want black lace dragging behind me down the street.
I want to bathe in a tub of candy corns.
I want to wear all the jewels I can, all at once.
I want black lipstick covered in fairy dust.
None of this, non-magical Halloween stuff I am seeing commercially.
Halloween is not supposed to be sensible.
For Pete's sake.
Hello wicked mayhem?
I want, SERIOUS Halloween makings.
You?
If you are a Halloween lover, you get what I mean.
I know you do.
I am already trying out some wardrobe pieces.
Funny enough.
These dresses do not come from my Halloween stash.
They come from my everyday wardrobe stash.
Ha!
We gotta do this.
Everyone is invited.
I mean...
E V E R Y O N E.
Yes, fur too.
Make sure you can jump and twirl in your frock...
Call upon some ghostly goooooodness!!!
I wish I could inherit an old scary mansion with an attic filled to the brim with treasure, and ghosts!!
Imagine? We could have a real party there!
But for now...
Oh please say yes!!!
Won't you join us virtually?
Below is this year's flyer and button.
Click on each image, which will open in a new window. After the new window opens, click on the larger image again, to see it in full size.
Then, just click and save each image to your computer.

It speaks of having consulted with the sunflower king about our next tea party!
Come for tea, oh do please, says he!!
Bring your friends!
Your loved ones!
Oh, anyone you'd like, he exclaims!
But most importantly, bring yourself!!
Notice how yourself, ends in elf?

ps:
Big News!
For the first time ever, after years of folks asking, and years of us thinking about it, A Fanciful Twist is accepting sponsors!! We have freed up a huge space in the right hand side bar -->
(and have just added our first sponsor)
Exciting adventures, with grand hopes and plans for continued blogging fun!!
I see some of you are sneaking in through the flower path, how wonderful!
The evening is filled with a buzz of excitement and wonderment. The scent of kettle corn and caramel apples fills the air. It is a scent reminiscent of childhood days. The magic of Halloween, lives in the ability to delve into childlike frolic and abandon, year after year.
And so, under the giant trees, we gift to you, a perpetual Halloween party!
Just look at your exquisite frock! You look magnificent!
What fun, what merriment!!
Oh, let's jump in, and enjoy!
Treats and tricks, spells and incantations, dance about!
Choose your favorite sweet, and let's think about dancing!
So many characters tucked away, insisted that this Halloween would be their time to come out and play. They are so excited to meet you!
There is pumpkin love galore...
Why, I can hardly believe it is this time of year. Must play and soak it all in. It's these very parties that help bring the spirit of the season to life in our home.
And so, I thank you so much, for joining in!
Whether peeking in as a guest, or hosting your own party, I am so very glad you are joining us.
So is bobble head witch, I hear ;)
Oh and, beware of poison, and evil witches conjuring!
The magic is beginning its dance in the air. Drifting from here to there...
So much mystery, oooooooo!
Anything can happen on Halloween!! (or so they say)
Munch away, twirl and sway!!
Choose your favorite dance partner, such as they...
Tip-toe around, in your pointy shoes, filling your striped bloomers with all manner of treats! (I see you! Haha!)
But, beware of the hand that beckons you...
Before you know it, a spell could be cast on you. Yes, it could. Trust me ;)
Ask Mister Frog who he used to be, and when you hear his voice, you will know, no lies come from me...
Captured pumpkins wait to become pie, yummmms!
Whilst elfin babes hang out in their punkin cottage! How cozy, how quaint!
Are you up for having your fortune told?
I know your fortune....
Tonight, you will eat beyond many treats!!!
And they will be, oh so worth it, and oh so tasty!
The witches that have gone before us, teach us new spells...
Like, how to grow your hair to your knees over night. And, how to win the lottery... (watch out for the bodyless hand below, literally, eeeeeks!)
I for one need some broom trick lessons. What about you?
Oh oh, and, no proper Halloween fête could be without caramel apples, as far as I am concerned. They are my faves! Miam miam!
Did you see that? A black candle was blown out by the wind. A sign that, more magic is to come, indeed!!!
The sun is setting, and with that arrive more witches and warlocks, and ghosties, and you and you and you!!
Darkness falls quickly, on this gloriously wonderful night...
I see more guests making their way, following the golden light...
It is an absolutely delicious evening!!
Purple and orange twinkling lights, work to illuminate the sky...
Darkness brings cackles a plenty!
Antique lace up boots dance about! (I know that's you)
What a sublime time!
Are you having fun??
I can hardly contain myself!
Oh and look, the boys have lined up...
They are bobbing for apples!
Elves stay warm, in their cozy abode...
As the evening goes on and on, and on!
I never want it to end...
I love these autumn evenings, with star-light a plenty, and bewitching nights with friends!
Let's bottle it up! Halloween merriment in a jar. You know the spell, I am certain!
I hope you are enjoying our Halloween party, because we threw it just for you. Filled it with all the Halloween goodness we could muster, and then, sprinkled it with fairy dust. For good measure, of course.
So, let's keep dancing and singing, and having the time of our lives!
Thank you so much, for being a part of this year's festivities!!!
The magic of Halloween continues!!
I have a Halloween goody bag, filled with all sorts of lovely little treats, to gift as a party favor. Anyone who leaves a comment will automatically have their name put into a hat for a drawing next week.
Bwahahahaaaaa!!!
Cackle cackle!!!
We will be here partying and visiting all weekend, and more!
Please allow folks a few days to get to your party ;)
Fun Fun!!
If you feel like visiting past parties, here are the links...
ps: Please make sure you leave your exact party link in comments, if you are a participant. The comment section will serve as an archive of all of our party links.
pss: Please let me know if your name is not on the list, and you wanted it to be. I will correct any issues as quickly as possible ♥
psss: Saturday update (noon): I am finally removing the cobwebs from my exhausted witchy self friends! Helooooooo! I am getting my broom ready to party! I was up until 4 a.m. Something quite challenging for a girl that goes to bed at 7:30 and wakes at 5 to tend her garden. And to think, there was once a time when I begged to stay out and dance until 4 a.m. ;) OKay, I will be visiting today and tomorrow, and as long as it takes me to make all my visits!! See you sooooooon! Sunday is a full fledged party day too!! Love, V
The party is a mere handful of days away, or less, oh my!! Are your striped stockings in order? Broom in check? We have places to go, apples to bob for, magic to make!! But first, we prepare...
I am preparing my frock, sparkling up my bugs, blackening my flowers! I am polishing my boots, readying my spells, fluffing my cobwebs!
And most importantly, preparing this year's babies for their first fête...
I am collecting the punkins that are ready to go on with the next step in their lives, you know...
Pies, cakes, Jack-o-lanterns, and more!
I am whipping around my garden on my vintage Schwinn 3 wheel bike (which needs a trip to the bike doctor), collecting all the babes I grew, and watching others who are still growing. The harvest was mostly complete in July, I thought. But then, a whole new wave.
We have eaten and gifted many, but still, there are those that felt that they HAD to be at the party...
And so, I collect...
Calling all pumpkin head partiers!!! ;)
Ooo, babies still sleeping and growing...
Oh, I love you wee punkin' babe!! He loves you too ;)
Collect collect, vite vite, no time to waste. We have a party to whip up, pronto, on the double!
Oh, pumpkin holiday, here we come!
How did pumpkin time get here so soon? It is all a blur I tell you, a pure blur!
Now, let's go, we must get to the party area quick. Leaving the back garden, driving by the cottage, vroooom!
Waving at the baby twins!
Oops, lost one! Toss him back in carefully ;)
Dahlias smile, sunlight twinkles...
Shrubs of crimson marigolds, edged in mandarin orange, adorn the path...
Pedal pedal...
Through the front garden...
And to the party site we go.
No time to waste, oh no! The party planner, that's me, is delayed. She has no plans, no way Jose. Fly off the seat of her broomstick, that is her motto!
But the pumpkin grower delivery girl is here with her goods (that's me too, phewey)!
And that is an important step indeed!
Next step, make pretty wearables!
Spray painting faux sunflowers and plastic insects, with a little flat black paint, is most crucial to our ensemble!
I spary paint my bugs and flowers, and sprinkle glitter on them while the paint is still wet. Glued and painted, all in one!
Yummms wickedness attire!
I wonder if I should glue a brooch back to my flower, or hot glue it to a ribboned bracelet. Remember we made those here and here?
I choose the bracelet method...
I hot glued a sparkly insect to my flower, then hot glued that, to the center of my bracelet. Oh and, I tucked in some super orange leaves as well...
I like it, what do you think?
Not half bad for things I had in my house, no? Plastic bugs, fake flowers, cardboard, ribbon, glitter, spray paint and hot glue?
If you don't have proper witchy jewels, you best make one of these. It suits your darker side perfectly, I just know it ;)
It is madness around here I tell you! Must get back out and work on my party. I am such a last minute gal. I mean, witch.
(Thank goodness for my helpful Warlock, he brought lots of party treats)
SO much to do, I need a spell like, yesterday!
How are you doing? Getting ready to party?
Polish your eyeballs if you are a guest, and polish your crystal ball if your are a participant, we have some serious Halloween magic to conjure!!
Bwahahaaaa!
Okay, I have to get to work, wish me luck!!
Love, Broomhilda
(Not to be confused with Brunhilda. And your name? Do share, please!)
ps: Important Party comments tip if you use Blogspot.
Please read carefully.
I have been having a very difficult time leaving comments on Blogspot blogs, and therefore, don't as much as I would like. So, I asked my friend Theresa, who uses Blogspot, why her blog is so easy to comment on? This is what she guided me to share with other Blogspot bloggers...
When choosing how folks will comment on your blog, you should consider trying the following when in your blogspot account.
1) Settings 2) Comments 3) Choose "Anyone" under Who Can Comment 4) Select Pop Up Window under Comment Form Placement 5) Save Settings
note: I think the problems occur when people are using Full Page or Embedded Below Post
It is impossible to believe, 'tis true, that the time of the year for swirling twirling magical festivities is upon us!
The planning frenzy is in full swing. Cutting out masks, preparing our finest frocks!
Of course, no party would be complete without you, and so we ask, will you join us?
Oh please, say yes!
The fortune tellers were here this weekend, and they told us, that you secretly couldn't wait...
I dare say, I think I even saw you frolicking amongst the gypsies? Searching through their old trunks for a proper costume??
We have been following a serious Halloween party planning schedule. With tips and tricks found in ye olde spell book...
I most certainly hope to all hopes that you did not keep your spell book on the shelf all summer? You must get it out and dust it off, if you have, and follow that up with a proper witches dance. I suggest you do this as soon as possible. Like now. (tee hee)
I have been drawing and cutting out cardboard stars, and glittering them up, in preperation...
Gold, copper and dark green sparkles everywhere!
The cottage is aglow!!
We are soooo excited! Staying up late, Mister and I, conjuring up all sorts of crrrrazy magical bits and bobs.
We even, shh, whisper....
Whee eeven carved our first, yes you guessed it - of the season...
I am completely entranced by everything Halloween this year. I am eager for deeply traditional hauntings, mixed with "make it up as you go along, Halloween magic." I want vintage Halloween, childhood Halloween. Over-done Halloween, with every cheesy wonderful little Halloween happening I can think of.
I want full Halloween immersion.
Tell me you do too, oh please do!!
And so, we have this virtual party.
A party we get to share, from the comfort of our own homes. With our own fun, frolic and mayhem. I just love it!
What more could we ask for?
I want to step into Halloween and feel every little tingle of it.
Candy corn, kettle corn, caramel apples, dances around the fire. Chants, song, cackles!!! Yes oh yes!
I'll tell you, things are already getting terribly curious around here. What with doll sized gourds growing, and...
Scarecrow winds turning our house into a veritable jack-o-lantern...
Oh Pumpkin Holiday, here we come!!
I think I might faint from excitement, and you?
We best not waste ticks of the clock! Set the enchanted gypsy table, it's almost time...
Well actually, in a hair over a month, but still!! Time flows like water. Get your striped stockings out now, for goodness' sake! ;)
The moon leads the way...
The skellies are at play!
The witches are here to stay!!
Get your sweet tooth in order asap...
It is time for a party my friends!!
Come one, come all!!
Anything goes!!

When choosing how folks will comment on your blog, you should consider trying following.
In blogger, one should go to: 1) Settings 2) Comments 3) Select Pop Up Window under Comment Form Placement 4) Save Settings
Make sure you allow for lots of options in the people who leave comments, such as Name/Url. Not just Google Account. To do this, after you have done the 4 steps above -
1) Settings 2) Comments 3) Choose "Anyone" under Who Can Comment
note: I think the problems occur when people are using Full Page or Embedded Below Post
pss: During this Halloweenfest time, I will minimize my regular "blogs I heart" blog roll, so that we can compile the Halloween partier list and not slow down the site too much ;)
Oh, silly us, of course, follow the sign to A Fanciful Twist Cottage!
A Fanciful Twist Cottage you ask?
Why, yes, oh yes!
Grand news indeed!
One of the many projects going on in Wonderland, is the location for our very mad, Mad Tea Party! A wee cottage for a girl (that's me) to hide out in, right in her very own garden.
Pinch me?
We sure did fall through the rabbit hole.
And, it's a good thing that I really do share a tiny world with a Mad Hatter, who makes such madness possible.
All I have to do is slip into my Wonderland shoes (handmade by my Mammie), and dream, and believe, and hope, and tumble........
Fanciful, Arizona, here we come!!
Thank you so much for being here!
Having you as a guest is the bestest thing since Alice herself ;)
The Mad Hatter says it is time to go positively mad!
